Aha thanks @wtytke - honestly, I told my wife: “damn, I like that other project in Florida… wouldn’t mind if the guy wins the AC500 he seems so crafty, and could possibly need it more than I do”. Not to mention @hnymann 's crafty metal stands.

Just a note, unfortunately, my AC500 that we won does not come with a warranty. Just an FYI, mine is already faulty and I need to pay for shipping and repairs which will probably not be worth it. It is ashame.

well, the unit was gifted to you and is 3 years old. I think you cant await that this will be replaced for free with a new unit. Articles from giveaway have some special terms apply.
@Selfmadestrom yes it was actually a prize winning, not a gift (there is a difference). If you win something like a car, the manufacturer just doesn’t cover the product. Also, it is “supposedly” a firmware issue that they can’t “push” to me successfully which is odd but that is another issue. I don’t want it “replaced” just repaired to work like it has for the past couple years. I am unsure if this situation was caused by a prior firmware update. It is a random annoying occurance with “PV in” shutting down and they are familar with the problem.
