My EB3A not charging DC

Hello I am new to the site. I have two Bluetti’s
1- EB3A & 1- AC180 , my AC180 will charge perfectly in the back of my truck on 12v’s from the truck battery @ an input wattage of 18 to 22 watts. I can set my EB3A on in and plug it up with the same 12v. Cable and it showed no input wattage and doesn’t charge at all.
I’m very much hoping someone can help me solve this problem .

Thanks in advance
Sam

Hi @Racerdad311, Based on your description, we believe that since your truck battery can charge the AC180 but not the EB3A, the issue may lie with the EB3A unit or the car charging cable.

We would like to know if you have solar panels. Could you try charging the EB3A with solar power and AC adapter? If it charges normally, the issue is likely with the car charging cable, and replacing the cable should resolve the problem.

Additionally, could you press and hold the AC + DC + LED buttons while attempting to charge via the car charger and check if any error codes appear?

Thank you for your response . My EB3A charges fine with grid/AC POWER just won’t charge at all by anything DC power be it solar or 12v from truck.
There’s not anything wrong with my 12v truck cable or my solar power cable. Both tested and proven good.
I will be checking for an erorr code like you ask as soon as I use the EB3A off it’s 100% charge that I charged it up to via: AC grid power.

Thanks
Sam

Hello was out of town a few days, but now back to my EB3A problem. Thanks in advance !
I made a video showing that 12v would start to charge my AC180 but the same 12v cord from my truck wouldn’t show any wattage or charge my EB3A. But wasn’t able to upload that video. I have tried the EB3A also on my 200w solar panel with the same results.

I would appreciate any help that I can get THANKS,
Sam

Hi @Racerdad311, According to what you mentioned, the EB3A cannot be charged by solar power, and you have already checked that the cables are fine.
We consider that the internal temperature of the EB3A might be too high. Could you try letting it turn off for 3 hours and then test it again? Additionally, are there any error codes? If letting it sit doesn’t help, I’m afraid you’ll need to contact customer service for repair. We suspect that there might be an issue with the DC charging port.
Your description is already very detailed and precise, so there’s no need to upload a video.
Please let us know if customer service was helpful. We will also urge them to prioritize your case.
Also, please note that if you need my follow-up, please @BLUETTI_CARE, so I can see your new messages promptly.

Ok thanks again for your help. So it isn’t a heat issue I have tried it early in the morning on more then one occasion . I have pulled op the error codes while trying to charge DC. I read somewhere to check by pushing the DC botton and the LED button at the same time to retrieve the code. So by checking that way the error code given is 2328 00 2525. Ok then so if I check for the code (I think the way you said to check) by pushing the DC the AC and the LED buttons all at the same time then it gives me 6203 5613 as a error code.
There much be issue with this unit.

Thanks

Hi @Racerdad311, Could you check if the input icon is flashing? If so, we suspect that the input voltage is too low, leading to a hardware failure. If that’s the case, it might require repair.

I’m sorry for the previous error in my description. What you provided was the firmware version and SN code of the EB3A.
Could you try again and press and hold the AC and LED power buttons simultaneously to check for error codes?
Also, please note that if you need my follow-up, please @BLUETTI_CARE, so I can see your new messages promptly.

Sorry but just getting back on my EB3A issue, checked for error codes this time by pushing the AC and LED buttons at the same time while trying to charge on a good 12v. truck cable and was given this error code. 0-00

Please let me know what you think,

Continuing the discussion from My EB3A not charging DC:

I’m sorry to have to say, even tho my sales person that I bought my EB3A was great. But when I received a replacement EB3A it had the same probably as my first one. Neither of them will charge, or show charging from any source of DC power. I plug in my AC 180 and it charges perfectly while using the same sources the EB3A does not.
Does anyone have an ideal why, I just need to solve this problem and use both of my Bluetti’s.

Thanks!
