Multiple Issues

I have an AC200P and a Charger 1. Both bought from amazon but the generator is a couple years old and Charger 1 is a couple months old. I have managed to get it actually charging about 3-4 times. When I stop or try to change voltage, it won’t work after. Even after changing settings back. It’s intermittent. I’ve seen it start charging for a second and then stop. The app shows 14.2 volts going into charger 1 but nothing between charger and generator when it’s not working. The PV/Car icon and the AC Load icons are both orange and I can’t find any reason for this- I don’t have a single thing plugged into the generator except the charger 1- nothing drawing from it at all. There aren’t any faults with the indicator light on. I cannot get the generator entered into the app and have seen posts saying THIS unit won’t sync with the app at all!?? Also, I cannot get the date to stay set. I can change it, and it shows the change only on the change date screen. Once I back out back to homescreen, it’s not correct.

It’s been a really long time since I even fired up my AC200P, but here’s a couple things to troubleshoot.

  1. The AC200P does not have app capability. It does have a manual and the touch screen has a settings menu.
  2. Are you using the Charger 1 in a vehicle, using the vehicle battery? If so, have you set the AC200P to car charger (vs PV)?
  3. The AC200P solar input requires a minimum of 35V.

While I bought the Bluetti Charger 1 a few months ago, I confess, I have not yet tried it out. My use case is to use it with 12V 100Ah batteries I have as a backup way to charge my power stations. I have been too busy playing with (I mean, testing) other new solar/power gear, but I seem to recall from watching the Hobotech review of it that you can adjust the settings to fit your non-Bluetti power stations as well. My guess is with the AC200P, you need to set it to charge via PV and set the Charger 1 to a minimum 35V in order to charge at a higher rate, or set the AC200P to car instead of PV through the screen menu and make sure the Charger 1 is set to the typical car charging range of 120W.

Hi @knowfere, An orange icon indicates that it is charging. This seems to be normal.
Could you please provide a screenshot of the settings interface in the app? It would be even better if you could provide a video.
@SoulGen’s suggestion is correct. Yes, please set the voltage to at least 35V and then try again.
In addition, was the car started while charging?
We look forward to your reply.

Thank you both, I did get an answer elsewhere and changed my settings to PC and 35v and it is now working. I had it set to car charging because I thought PC was only for solar panel charging
