Introducing SolarX 4K - The Accessory for Apex 300

BLUETTI SolarX 4K – The World’s First 500V/4000W PV Voltage Regulator! :sunny:

There is one thing im asking myself, when seeing this picture. It make sense for me that all the AC Units and the Apex are supported by the SolarX 4K, but in which way are the expansion batterys? Do they connect to the Battery Expansion port?

Or is it meant to operate with a “Host Unit” like AC200L + B210 or AC500 + B300S etc.?

Thanks
Erik

In addition to the main unit, the battery pack can also be directly connected to SolarX 4K for independent use!

  • Update: We will introduce compatibility in stages, with the Apex300 and B300K as the first models to support it.

If I have 2 or 3 Apex 300s in parallel with the Hub H1 can I use 1 SolarX 4K per unit to get the maximum input?

@doecliff The SolarX 4K can be connected to either the battery port of the Apex300 or the interface of the B300K. It will achieve your desired performance!

I have 2 solar arrays both at 1000w will I be able to connect both to one SolarX 4k?

@DarylB Yes, this is possible:
The Apex 300 has two MPPT channels.
When your solar panel VOC exceeds 60V, you can use the BLUETT SolarX 4K buck converter to enable solar charging. The SolarX 4K supports connecting rooftop solar panels with a total VOC of 60V to 500V, enabling a maximum PV charging power of 4kW.

But they are 2 separate systems with 2 wires each.

Yes, you can connect your two solar arrays, since there are two MPPT channels. :+1: This is similar to the AC300 and AC500 having two MPPT controllers, so two arrays can be connected.

Hello @BLUETTI ,

I have a couple of questions about the SolarX 4K, the first is, can the SolarX 4K wake up the head unit (AC300, AC500, Apex 300) when charging is active, the way directly connected panels will wake them up? This would be in particular for situations where the unit shuts down over night due to low charge, but then the sun starts charging in the morning.

Second question, when will the SolarX 4K become available to purchase by itself as an accessory?

@hnymann
The Apex300 has a “system switch recovery” feature, which automatically restores previous settings. In your case, when the energy storage is depleted at night and recharges in the morning, this “system switch recovery” will allow the machine to restore its previous settings, such as turning on the AC output, after receiving PV charging.

The SolarX 4K can be purchased separately. If you want to buy it separately, please contact crowdfunding@bluetti.com for more information. :)

So where can I get a Solar x 4k Charging box?

Question about the DC Output Cable (1.8 m/6 ft, with XT60-F connectors).

Some systems with dual solar inputs do not like the 0 volt to be tied together. For example if you fed both from a single battery there could be issues with reverse current flow. The SolarX 4k is not a battery but it is a voltage regulator and the 0 V would be tied together on the 3 XT60 outputs.

When using the triple XT60-F connector does that mean it is not possible/advisable to connect two of them to the same Apex? Is it designed for each output to go to a different power station or is it okay to connect two outputs to a single Apex, one to each solar input?

@Sideeffect Confirmed: When using a parallel charging cable, the three XT60 terminals can only be plugged into one AP300 separately, and two XT60 terminals cannot be plugged into one APEX300.
