I’m using an ipad, and have an AC300L.
Are there any requirements from the device that runs the app, to gather Energy Statistics? There aren’t any instructions on this.
I ask, because I’ve kept my iPad On and connected via Bluetooth for over a day, and there are no energy statistics – all the plots are blank.
Does the app always need to be in the foreground?
Can the device running the app never go to sleep, ie is all the data gathered only on the device running the app, and none is stored on the connected bluetti product?
Just trying to understand the setup, and why I might be seeing blank plots.
The app does not need to stay connected; as long as the machine is properly connected to Wi-Fi, it is fine.
The energy statistics data will be uploaded to the cloud and will not be saved on the machine. Without an internet connection, this part of the data will not be available.
I see, thanks.
One thing i’m not clear on: @BLUETTI is it possible to control the device via Bluetooth, and still have the AC200L connected to wifi separately to stream to the cloud for energy statistics?
If so, how?
I only see this option in the app, when connected via Bluetooth: “Change Network”. Ie it seems there may be only wifi, or only bluetooth – and not possible to control via Bluetooth, and still stream to the cloud via WiFi.
Basically, I want to isolate the 200L from the rest of my network (I don’t trust any app’s security or privacy), so want to connect it to an isolated guest network for the 200L to stream data to cloud. But I still want to control the 200L using bluetooth, from a trusted home device that has access to the broader home wifi network.
Bluetooth connections and cloud Wi-Fi connections should not interfere with each other. Once the device connects to the home Wi-Fi and the server, it can transmit cloud data normally. Subsequently, controlling via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi will not affect the upload of cloud data.
@BLUETTI thanks. So after connecting the unit to wifi, what setting do I change to go back to Bluetooth? I see Network Settings and Default Connection mode.
Default Connection mode is what the unit tries first (“default”), right?
Or is that the setting i’d change to get back to Bluetooth control without turning off wifi cloud connection on the unit?
The default is cloud connection; it can be changed to Bluetooth connection.
Refer to the video above; it starts with cloud connection, and later it defaults to a Bluetooth connection after the change. You can also see the connection way from the image below.
