Hey everyone,
My decision is fixed, i will be installing a EP2000 with 3 Battery Modules. Cant wait!
Befoure the final installation, i need to take care of a few design decisions. One of them is hiw to connect the solar panels the best way possible to EP2000.
I came across “Shadeboost” that try to perfom the max possible energy output, even with partly shadowed Solarpanels.
Really asking myself how to connect panels to actually take the most benifit from the system.
I have 10 Panels in a straight line. Same angle, same height but due the slowly movement of the sun, it take a while that all 10 Panels have sun.
Also having another 4 Panels of the roof, but with more power that the ones in the 10 line.
Connecting all 10 Panels would give me a perfect voltage of nearly 500V. I have about 35m cable length with 6mm2 cables. So not optimal, high voltage helps a lot with power losses from the cable.
To take care of the shadows, i could also built two 5 Strings. Half the voltage, bigger losses, but better for shadows.
How should i connect them to get the most power or let Shadeboost unfold its full potential?
Thanks
Erik
