How do I get the full 5000 watts from my AC500

So I’m trying to power my shop using the 50Amp plug on the AC500. I read somewhere that you needed at least 2 battery’s. So I have 2ea B300K connected to the AC500 with both battery’s running to the AC500. The battery screen shows Battery #2 and Battery #3 connected. Should it not say battery 1 and 2? I still overload at 3k. Am I missing something? Any help be greatly appreciated.

Hi @TxPacker, It seems you need to use the AC500 to output 5000W. Is that correct?
Could you please tell us your specific load? It would be even better if you can provide detailed specifications or models. This information will help us better understand your power requirements and ensure the AC500 meets your needs.

Please note that for some machines with built-in compressors or condensers (such as fridges, air conditioning, pumps, and freezers), the surge power will be 3-7 times higher than the rated power, and it will keep several seconds after it is just turned on. Then we will check if our machine can afford it or not. Please consult the supplier of your device for more information.

My shop is really a Man Cave / Office. I have a Freeze dryer, computers , printer lights, and chargers. I run about 1800 watts on average. My main goal is to power my house during outages. I have a NEMA 14-50R that goes to my house by interlock breaker. While just power my office I wanted to test the output power of the AC500. I used 2 heaters to bump up the watts to over 3k. That when the unit shuts down and then resets and turn back on.

Hi @TxPacker, Thank you for providing the detailed information.
We agree that this is unusual for an overload alarm to trigger at a 3000W load.

Could you please share the SN code of your AC500 and its current firmware version? This information will help us further analyze the issue and determine the appropriate troubleshooting steps.

We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to resolving this promptly.

Here is the info from my AC500:

ARM - v4044.07
DSPv4059.04
HMI - 6051.07

Is there any Update or Fix on this issue as of yet?

Hi @TxPacker, Thank you for your update.
We aren’t entirely sure if this issue can be resolved by upgrading the firmware, but we’ve already submitted your request to the technical team. If feasible, they will push the update within 2 working days. Please retest the device after the upgrade.

Haven’t seen any update on the AC500 as of yet. Been over a week already. Still wont power anything over 3k. I have even plug small heater in the 20amp outlets and still once over 3k, it overloads. Good money has been spent to have a AC500 only put out 3k of power. Also when running 300 watts, and the the portable AC comes on the light flicker and the ac sound awful. Doesn’t the AC500 have a 10k surge? I don’t think my 9k 120v ac is pulling 10k on start up. I’d like a little more support in the handling of this issue. This hasn’t worked from the beginning and I starting to have concern is never will.

Hi @TxPacker, We have checked the records and confirmed that the new firmware for AC500 has been pushed.

Please ensure that your account is correctly registered and bound before proceeding with the upgrade. Do not use Bluetooth direct connection for the upgrade, as this method will not complete the process. If you cannot find the upgrade option, please provide a screenshot of the upgrade page so that we can check for any setup issues.

We believe the new firmware will effectively resolve this problem. Looking forward to your response.

Thank you for the response. The app wants me to update by Bluetooth only and you say not to. So How do I update the firmware?

Hi @TxPacker, When upgrading the firmware, Bluetooth connection is indeed required, which means you need to register and log in to your account, and bind this device.

It is not the Bluetooth direct connection mode. This mode does not require registration and binding, but only has limited operation permissions and cannot upgrade the firmware.

Please refer to the following screenshot to correctly log in and bind the device, and then perform the upgrade.

So I’ve updated the firmware as instructed and the unit is still behaving as before. I was able to get to 3150 watts without shutting down but at 3600 to 3800 it shut down. It’s reboot up and turn power back on as before. I do believe I have a AC300 just marked as an AC500. I’ve seen on Youtube videos of the AC300 going as high has 3600 and the AC500 going to about 5300 before it shuts down. I purchased this from Amazon and am ready to do a return if we can not get this resolved. Do I have a defective unit? as I believe no firmware will resolve this. What other action can I do?

Here is the Firmware that was installed

Where are we on this issue? Still awaiting some input beside upgrade firmware that did nothing. Is there another source to get this resolved? Do I email someone? Do I put in a warranty claim? and if so with who and how? I would like some feedback . Please respond.

It’s been 7 days with no response. How do I use the warranty for this product. Who do I contact or get approval from for a replacement unit sent out?

Hi @TxPacker, Our forum receives a large amount of information every day. If you need our attention and response, please @BLUETTI_CARE first; otherwise, we may not notice your message and be able to reply to you.

Regarding the issue with the AC500, we would like to know if any error messages appeared in the app. If you can provide an video will be more helpful.
Since upgrading the firmware was ineffective, we suggest arranging a replacement for you. We have instructed the Amazon department to follow up on this matter. Please check your Amazon inbox messages for updates.
Hope this helps.
