Hi =)
I have the AC300 with the BC300. I purchased a Ecco portable water heater and the directions state that it must be plugged into a GFI connection. Is the Bluetti GFI or do I return the water heater?
Water heaters are generally required to be plugged into outlets served by a differential breaker (GFI) so in the event of a leakage with the user getting into contact with high voltages the GFI will break the circuit by preventing the user to be electrocuted.
The AC300 has floating ground with isolated alternating phase outputs so in case it’s not connected to your home circuits and/or neutral bonded (= you are using your AC300 alone as a portable power station as you are supposed to do) you can safely use your water heater without worrying about the GFI requirement.

Thank you.
I was about to return the water heater.
