Happy New Year! Hope you all made it into 2026 in one piece and with good vibes. I’m wishing every single one of you an awesome year ahead — full of new chances, fun moments, and whatever else you’re aiming for.
Got any goals for 2026? Anything you really exited for?
Cant wait to see what Bluetti will release this year ;D
Drop your plans and wishes in the comments — always cool to see what everyone’s working toward and maybe inspire each other a bit.
All the best for the year ahead
Let’s make 2026 a great one together!
My Year will focus on using the significant investment I made in 2025 and not spending too much, lol.
I recently bought 2 new solar Mats - Dune 160W folding panels with stands to angle to the sun. They will be added to the 2 HardKorr 150W Mats I’ve had for a while. My main reason for this size was to keep weight down and be more flexible in their use. i.e.
My AC2A will only take 1 single panel of any of the above. I can use 2 of either brand in Series with the AC70’s and AC180’s and all 4 in Series for the Elite 100 v2 and the AC200P.
I do of course use them with my Caravan as well, but unfortunately its Battery Management Charger/MPPT/ is limited to 50Voc and 30A input. So one more “small” expense is a Victron 100/20 SmartSolar. One array will go to it in Series and the other to the van’s system. This will also give me sufficient to output to charge the Bluetti’s I camp with as well as the house batteries.
Then it’s “out Bush”, prospecting and camping. A “Hard Life”, but someone’s got to do it.
Correction - The All 4 in Series applies to the AC200P. For the Elite 100, there would be 2 parallel strings in Series, lol, but still using all 4.
happy new year @Selfmadestrom@Mandp looks like its going to be another good one for us all.
there are so many things to look forward to this year,i did treat myself to an early christmas present last year got the elite 200v2 as an upgrade to my AC180 and now looking forward the immenent releae of the charger 2,elite 300,elite 400 and the fridge backup power unit, so mant to chose frombut will be looking to swap out my elite 100 thats running my house fridge at the min and replace with the fridge backup…main goal for the year is get as close to grid free as i possibly can…
Happy New Year! I’m looking forward to all the CES posts / videos.
I’d like to upgrade one of my older Bluettis (EB70) for something faster charging for running my fridge. I’m waiting to find out more about FridgePower before I make any decisions.
I also really like the look of the new Sora 500 solar panel. This folds up small enough to fit in my bike trailer. I’ve mostly only taken my EB70 and PS72 to the allotment for solar charging as it’s only practical to take one 200w folding panel. I’d like to take my AC70s as well though, and take advantage of their better solar charging specs, which I could do with the Sora 500. It’s winter here at the moment, but I’m sure it’s summer somewhere - I’d really like to see some reviews of this panel.
Happy new year @Tezzabee the eb70 was great in its day but feels a little dated and tired now when put up against the newer elite models only to expected though with the new designed and advances in batter technology and updates to internal components.
I’m also looking forward to the ces show and seeing the fridge backup power they have on offer. As I’m using my elite 100 v2 at the moment and doing very well at it I would really love a bash at that one. Not long to wait until we see the price point. @BLUETTI@BLUETTI_CARE
@Tezzabee@Ktt G’day guys, Happy New Year to you both. Yup it’s Summer here and if you want to know how I know, here’s the Forecast for today and the next four.
Tues - 38C (100.4F) Wed - 44C (111.2F) Thur - 42C (107.6F)
Fri - 38C (100.4F)
Sat - 23C (73.4F) and Tomorrow Wed the minimum overnight will be 25C (77F).
So, the 2 home aircons are gonna get one helluva workout.
Tez - I can’t offer to test the Sora 500, bit bigger than I need, lol and, as mentioned not an expense I need.
Kerr - The Charger 2 looks good, but at 800W, be careful with Alternator load if you do buy one, as this equates to 60+ amps. My Charger 1 with my other loads (Caravan and DC-DC aux Bat) can’t be used at the full 560W load.
Wow, those temperatures are high. Do your Bluetti’s cope ok with that?
The Sora 500 does seem quite expensive as I’m mostly a budget shopper. One problem I have at the allotment is that as the plants grow I get much less space to site solar panels. Even if I could take both my 200w panels down there, it would get hard to position them together. That occurs at roughly the same time as the UK weather gets more reliable for solar . The Sora 500 would make that a lot easier. Later in the year I tend to have to get the panel up on the shed side or roof, which would be easier with 1 panel. It would be a major investment though. Hopefully there will be some detailed reviews soon.
@Ktt Happy New Year to you and yours.
Aw, my EB70 still does a stirling job, runs exactly as well as when I first got it which is nearly 2.5 years ago now. It was my first Bluetti so I don’t think I could part with it
The only issue is the 200w charging. As I charge them all on Sundays when relying on mains charging, it takes more time out of my day than with the newer ones. I think the FridgePower is intended as a fridge UPS, so always plugged in, but I would be interested to know the charging speed of the FridgePower as it’s a much bigger battery and I power the fridge by running the batteries down to 0 each time. It’s interesting that it also has additional batteries that can be added.
Tezzabee Yup, it’s now 1pm, (1300 for the ex service people like me lol) and it’s 45C. I have 2 x 150W mats and 2 x 150W mats as well as 2 x 120W blankets, but we got a lot more space here in Oz. Plus, as noted, more sun. (I grew up in the U.K.)
At the moment, the only Bluetti running is the AC70 on UPS for the WiFi, Router and Security Cams, but it’s inside in the Aircon at 24C, with me.
The Fronius 5kW inverter for the house rooftop solar is currently 44C in the shade and pumping 5.15kW. (6.6kW array throttled by the Fronius 5kW). Can’t ask for more than that. I had the 7.5kW Aircon on all night as it was around 27C overnight, but it’s pretty efficient, as it only used around 1.4kW from midnight to 0830 (8.30a.m.)
Hi @Ktt, I appreciate your interest in BLUETTI.
Thank you for sharing your valuable opinions and New Year wishes! We also wish you and all our forum members a very happy New Year, and may all your wishes come true!
That’s right—the CES show kicks off today. In addition to the Fridge Power, we are also showcasing other new products,s including the Elite 300. Today is also the perfect launch date for our Charger 2. We hope you will like them!
I wonder if, the way things are going with increased temperatures, Bluetti should look into developing some ‘self-chilling’ batteries (more than just the normal fans)
Well, if we can keep our Beer Cold, a battery shouldn’t be an issue, lol. Up until around 5-6 years ago, my batteries were AGM, I had no issue in the Oz heat. One caveat is that I’ve never run anything over a 300W inverter in years gone by, when camping or caravaning. Since moving to LFP as house batteries, nothing untoward has occurred, either summer or winter.
I have done some temperature observations over time. In a white vehicle it can get to 55C in a locked car in our summer, but a black car can be 10-15 degrees hotter. (Why mine is white, lol). Where I prospect, in Victoria, it does get down to around -2C.
However, in zero C temps, my caravan batteries are under the bed, the diesel heater is around a metre away and the battery temp sensor shows around 10C. so, the diesel heater keeps the environment warmer. Re heat, my normal max load on this 200Ah bank is in single figures and works, no issues.
For the power stations I use, they are inside the caravan and at whatever ambient is. In winter the diesel heater is running, so, nowhere near freezing. I have done a couple of trips in the mid 30sC, no airconitioning as I was off grid and the temp in the van was in the high 30s. The Elite 100v2, AC180 and AC70 all worked as they should. (I normally now carry the Elite 100 in the caravan and the AC70 in the 4x4)
