Hi,
I already have my Elite 100 V2 connected to several devices in my house. A router that is powered directly from the front USB DC port and others from the AC output. Everything is fine so far.
The device is connected to the electrical grid and the average consumption of the devices does not exceed 100-200W on average. But from time to time I hear the fan activate and I don’t know why if it is connected to the grid and the battery is at 100%.
The room temperature is around 23ºC.
Thank you
On the AC500 the fan runs during charging and/or discharging. Although I’m not familiar with the Elite model my guess is that it’s normal. A sensor determines when the electronics need cooling.
Thank you for your answer. I assume that during charging or discharging …is normal.
But when it’s fully charged and having grid power… is it normal than from time to time fans start working using just AC output?
Hello, this is normal. The fan will also turn on when the battery temperature is high.
If the battery is fully charged … and energy comes from grid and not from battery why battery should get hot?
Hello,
Please stop the device from charging and discharging, turn it off, and place it in a cool area for three hours before turning it back on. Check if the fan starts immediately upon powering on. If it does not, this indicates that the fan previously activated due to high temperatures. You can also check the historical error records to see if there are any reports of fan faults.
If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out!
Hi …
There’s one thing I still don’t understand about the battery. As I said, it’s connected to the grid. There’s input power, and I have my devices connected to the AC output. In that case, with the battery fully charged, there shouldn’t be any battery usage. However, I occasionally get a message saying that the battery has been fully charged again, which I don’t understand — why would there be any discharge if it’s been permanently connected to the grid? Is there a way to verify this?
