I’ve read someone’s thread about using a DIY 12V battery to boost or expand / charge their Bluetti AC model but it was a higher capacity unit than my AC60. Meanig it could handle higher voltage inputs etc. Ive read about using a 12.7V lithium battery rated at 100 AMP Hours as an expansion / charging host for the ac60.
The price is way cheaper than the B80. I figured I would make a cable that started with ring connectors to MC4 connector, and then use the provided MC4 cable that terminated at the solar charge input port of the AC60.
Will this work? I believe the max voltage input for the AC60 is 28V and of course 200 watts (limit of solar panels if I were to go that route)
So, is this doable, or would I need a 12V to 24 V DC to DV transformer? (someone mentioned this in an other post. Would 10 guage wire be correct? and would the provided bluetti MC4 adapter cable handle that that battery might output? Should it be fused along the way?
Sorry if this topic has been hashed to death. I couldn’t find it specific to the AC 60 unit.
