My AC180P (AC180P2428000072290) turns on its fan noisily and starts cooling down after having a heavy load, like an electric kettle. I understand this is expected, but I’m puzzled why the fan keeps running for about 10 to 30 minutes even after the heavy load is over. The room is cool, and the air coming from the fan isn’t even warm.
Sometimes, the only way to stop the fan noise is by turning the AC output off and on again, but this shuts down all connected devices (like my fridge, PC in sleep mode, and router), which is very inconvenient.
Are there any ways to shorten this cooldown period?
Hi @T4ddy, We believe this is a normal phenomenon.
The fan on the AC180P operates under the following conditions:
Charging/Discharging Power: When the charging or discharging power reaches a certain threshold, the fan will start.
Internal Temperature: When the internal temperature of the AC180P reaches a certain level, the fan will also start. As the temperature decreases, the fan will stop.
Additionally, each time the unit is powered on, the fan will briefly run as part of the self-test.
When the heavy load is disconnected, the internal temperature of the machine may still be high, requiring the fan to continue running until the internal cooling is sufficient for the fan to stop.
As you mentioned, when you turn off and then back on the AC output, the fan can turn off immediately because the fan runs a self-test after restarting.
We recommend that you do not artificially shorten the cooling time, as maintaining the internal temperature helps with battery health. You might also consider using an external fan to aid in cooling the AC180P, which may help accelerate the cooling process.
