EP600, IoT controller BT freeze

Hi,

Time to time IoT controller on EP600 freeze. It’s very strange freeze because Wifi is ok and system available through App. But if I change connection to BT it’s down. App doesn’t see BT, phone doesn’t see BT.
BT led usually blinking but in this case it always On.

Have to reset IoT :(

It was much better before last IoT update. But last month it freezes often.

Regards.

@Qwerty
Please reboot after upgrading the IOT to the latest version.

Hi.

IOT has latest version ans was upgraded month+ ago or something like that.

I rebooted IoT. But I have to do this almost every day.

Before upgrade it was not so often.

Looks like other has same issue.

Regards,

Mine was freezing due to a setting in the home assistant integration… not sure if you are using that? If you are drop me a line. If you are using another 3rd party app, I suspect Bluetti are turning off the Bluetooth after a number of failed connection attempts, possibly even successful ones. As a protection mechanism against brute force access attacks over Bluetooth.

Cheers,
Ap

@Aphere
Yes, have HA with Bluetti BT too :)

Cool…

So I am running Bluetti BT as an integration using ESp32 as a BT bridge back to HA.

The settings I am running which seem to work are:

  • Use Controls: No
  • Persistent Connection: No
  • Polling Interval: 30 secs
  • Polling Timeout: 45 secs
  • Max Amount of retries: 3

Cheers,
Ap

If you are not connected to the IOT, the bluetooth light will blink, if you are connected, the light will be always on. If the Bluetooth is not connected, would you mind providing a screen recording so that the technical team can better locate it?

Hi,

It permanently shows two leds.

Bluetooth range is within 5 metres, are you connecting next to the EP600?

Yes.

After reset all works again some time.

@Qwerty The tech support team is already trying to reproduce your issue through testing at the moment, and I’ll let you know as soon as there’s an update.
