Energy Statistics calculate production incorrectly

Around Sep 1 the Statistics for AC500 start show production summary for a day less than the actually produced and also it contradicts other calculations in the app.

9:57am PV Generation show 535.30kWh
4:09pm PV Generation show 541.80kWh
So, generated 6.5kWh.
Also on “Daily power profile” screen you can see 12:15-15:00 was producing over 1kWh.

Problem: On the “EnergyStatistics” per Day only 3.79kWh ( :bangbang:should be 6.5) and max production around 0.75kWh ( :bangbang:should be over 1kWh) which is incorrect, at that time I was watching on main screen it was ~1.3kWh entire hour.

Hi @artemb

Seems like that the usage of AC gets pulled off the production value. Add both together and you have your ~6 kwh. There was a bug recently with this monitoring. Did you update your firmware already?

greetings
Erik

Hi @artemb, Recently, our technical department has also identified this issue and is currently investigating and discussing it. We will address this problem in the upcoming version of the app.
Thanks to @Selfmadestrom for their assistance and explanation.

Hi Erik,

I think this issue started after I updated firmware a week ago (the prev update I did a couple years ago  )

And I noticed that something related to AC value being subtracted from Production value on the Graph, but it’s not necessary the exact formula used by developers internally.

I will wait for a software update.
Thx.

Attaching screenshot of current versions on AC500.

Hi @artemb, We are very concerned about your experience. Has the new app resolved the issue?

We would also like to know the SN number of your AC500, as we want to assist you with upgrading the firmware.

We look forward to your response. Please remember to @BLUETTI_CARE ; otherwise, I may not find your reply in a timely manner.

Hi @BLUETTI_CARE,
The issue is not resolved as there were no any further update of firmware (I was checking periodically).
SN is AC5002239000830390

Hi @artemb, Thank you for getting back to us so quickly.
we have applied to upgrade your IOT Our IT department will push the latest version of firmware to your machine in 24 hours. Please upgrade it tomorrow.
Please do not load any device when upgrading it.
Meanwhile, we wonder about your Bluetti app’s version, can you update the Bluetti app too?
Please let us know if it works.

Hi @BLUETTI_CARE,
I installed the latest IOT (v9041.10).
I still observe confusing reporting of usage on “Energy Statistics” screen.

I started day with total 647.4kWh
In the end of day it was 654.0kWh

So, generated 6.6kWh

But on the “Energy Statistics” it’s only 5.01kWh (1.39kWh missing from other screen).

If I compare “Daily power profile” screen with “Energy Statistics”, it’s better than in my original report before the lates IOT update.

But still seems “Energy Statistics” shows a bit less generated Wh volume than should.

Hi @artemb, Thank you for getting back to us so quickly.
I have reported this problem to our engineer, we will reply to you once we get an answer.

Hi @BLUETTI_CARE,
Is it possible to tell dev team that “Energy Statistics” shows as PV the Wh which went directly to battery?
It excludes the electricity used directly to power AC inverter at the moment of production form solar.

It would be super cool if the code on “Energy Statistics” would be something like:
“total solar production” = “electricity went to battery” + " electricity went to AC load"

I believe that what I’m saying is realistic to do as the “PV Generation” value looks accurate, so somehow it gets correct calculations.
Also all was working fine before I updated IOT.

Thanks,
Artem

Hi @artemb, I have conveyed your feedback to the development team. Currently, we only track total power generation, not the power and energy charged to the battery. I’m afraid your request may be difficult to implement.

It seems the issue wasn’t resolved after the IOT upgrade? If you’d like, we can also roll back the previous firmware for you.
