#EliteMiniCamping landscaping & tiny house, offgrid style!

For this #EliteMiniCamping invitation to share ideas, I’d like to upload a few pictures of my family’s “camping” style. The chosen device is Elite 100 V2 as I could enjoy a lighter replacement to AC180T, and also AC180 given the “carrying frame” it’s been latched onto :slight_smile:

The first half of the year has been very rich with intense professional achievements, but now’s the time to switch gears, dial down the rush to a healthier level - and especially with our 8yo finishing school this week, it’s indeed a rich moment to return to our offgrid plot of land, bake solar croissants, and landscape on solar power.

In 2023, we committed to turn a bramble clutter land (3000m²) into a little offgrid paradise where we grow fruits, vegetables and host bees. This with 0% petrol (aka “dino juice” as our kid loves to call it).
We focused more on the brambles, and construction of a tiny house over there, but we’re already growing grapes, pears, berries. Our FlowHive hasn’t got a tenant yet, but will certainly be more appealing once we’ve cleared a meadow around the “bees only” lounge.

While AC180 is only a few kilos heavier than Elite 100 V2, I believe swapping AC180T for the Elite would be a game changer as there’s a 200% weight factor, with better handles in favor of the Elite. Instead of having AC180T serve a static role in the tower, it would serve both powering the tiny house for breaks (baking croissants, espresso, etc.) and operate tools like the chainsaw and bramble cutter during the day as we work to clear more of the area.

An AC180(T) is my usual go-to solution here. It’s got enough kick for most corded pwoertools I need for landscaping / light forestry work (trees up to 25-30cm in diameter, brambles, thrickets, etc.)

We’ve cleared a 12mx15m area this week - brambles, unsupervised weed trees, birch trees that lost the windbreak from weed trees, etc.) - that’s some nice firewood to dry :slight_smile:

Next - the carry frame: It’s looking a bit goofy at first glance, but it’s highly practical. It’s only 20kg in total - and that’s a great reminder that gas operated tools are no match for a Bluetti AC180 - let alone an Elite 100V2 delivering the same 2.5 horsepower equivalent. Our bodies were designed to move, and lift things, so this just feels right. I did try with AC200L, but that one was more a “crossfitter flex” than a realistic use case :slight_smile:

And it’s 100% recharged on solar (here, 2x400W in parallel to match AC180’s max input - Elite 100 would benefit even more from the 18 amps delivered by these panels versus the 10Amps limit of AC180).

The Bluetti family expanded here with the recent acquisition of a Handsfree 2, and we’re starting to fully appreciate its potential as we’re tinkerers on the go - and geeks :-)

@Derceto
Thank you for the entry in #EliteMiniCamping.
I didn’t expect you to use a homemade backpack frame for outdoor work so frequently, haha! :grinning:

Thanks!

We’ve just updated our post with the contribution of AC180T powering the chainsaw, and some before-after snapshots.
