Elite V10 AC Charging

Just received my Elite 10. It arrived at 38%. I plugged in A/C plug and it cycles various charging %'s on the display. 54w, 67w, 70w, 0 and rinse and repeat. When charged via cigarette lighter plug it’s steady 38w no variation

Any ideas?

I unplugged it at 98% ran it down to zero, plugged back into A/C and it’s stuck at 93%

1st thing to do with any new power station - Check on the App for Firmware updates and apply any, then try another full discharge - recharge.

If the issue persists, post another comment with @BLUETTI_CARE as the first part of the post, this will tag your post to the official Bluetti monitor for possible warranty attention.

@BLUETTI_CARE. I received my new Elite V10. Charged it, discharged and it’s been stuck at 98-99% for 24 hrs now. The Firmware is up to date.

@BLUETTI_CARE I ran it down to zero again and charged via A/C overnight and it was stuck at 96%, still showing wattage going in. Then I charged it via D/C (XT60) DC source and it went to 100% in about five minutes.

Bluetti care explained the behavior and I’m satisfied. It’s a great little unit

Hi @breamer999, Thank you for sharing your experience—it’s great to hear that you’re very satisfied with the Elite 10.
When the battery is nearly fully charged, it will enter trickle charging mode. The slow charging at this stage is very helpful in preventing overcharging. If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us anytime.
Thank you for your care and reminder, @Mandp. Yes, upgrading the firmware and performing recalibration are extremely beneficial.

What was the explanation for the initial behavior? I am experiencing the exact same thing on a brand new unit - stuck at 93% SOC after a complete discharge and recharging from AC. Mine arrived at 38% SOC and I charged it to 100% using solar. I then discharged it completely using various loads to do a capacity test and got 97 watts out before shutoff. I immediately started charging the unit via AC power and it cycles the various charging wattages as described in the initial post. It is now stuck at 93% SOC and I have already put in 185 watts according to my meter. I may have missed it but I did not understand how this issue was resolved?

I have not used the AC charger in a while so I don’t know. When I charge DC plug it’s fine. I have a dedicated DC plug in my house from an external battery outside with a small solar array.

Sounds like a pretty neat little setup. I am struggling to figure out the odd AC charging behavior that I am seeing with a brand new unit. At least I know that someone else is experiencing the same issue so it might not be my specific unit. Maybe @BLUETTI_CARE has an idea on how to resolve the issue.

So to try again, I drained the unit to 0 and plugged in to AC. It’s stuck at 94% showing 38 watts. It only seems to hit 100% with solar or DC car charging. I will let it go overnight and post again

Ok, so I left it over night and the charge dropped to 83% with 40 watts charging. Then I unplugged it from A/C and then plugged it into the DC charging source and it immediately jumped to 100%. So there is something definitely wrong with the firmware, imo.

Update:. I should have noted the A/C charging was off my VFX2810 inverter. When I plugged the Elite 10 into GRID AC it behaves normally, full charge

Hi @Pilotstt, thank you for your concern about this issue.
We have noticed that the Elite 10 cannot be fully charged via AC charging. Our R&D team has developed a new firmware DSP100120118 specifically for this problem.
If you need it, please provide your SN code and current firmware version so we can apply to push the update for you.

I have DSP100120116, how do I get this update as well?
