Elite 300 Annoying Fan rattle

Brand new Bluetti Elite 300.
Using as UPS (250 Watts in/out for my PC).

This unit has a very annoying fan rattle even at this low level the fan runs 100% of the time.
It is like a constant fast ticking sound. Why Bluetti continues to use substandard fans I cannot imagine. This seems to be the chief complaint with these units.

What’s my recourse here? I don’t want to ship the unit in directly after I have received it? If I do not have my headphones on, it is hard to sit and work because of the annoying noise.

Bluetti please comment.

Thanks,
Rick

This is because all the reviewers who shill Bluetti power stations are just paid to highlight the good points and aren’t real world testers of the products. The only time Bluetti finds out about these types of issues is actual real world use. Most reviews are all the same. Here’s what I like. Here’s what I don’t like. Here’s what they can improve. They don’t actually long term test the products, find out the fan is annoying, and report on that. With that said, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if this was a design decision by Bluetti to save pennies. Their newer PV350 is absolute garbage compared to Gen 1 PV350, producing 20% less power in the same Sun. I think your best solution may simply be to place the unit farther away from you.

Hi @dredge999 it would be really helpful if you could post a video of the noise issue,Bluetti would want you to do this anyway when they are trouble shooting your problem. Also is all your firmware up to date? @BLUETTI_CARE could you help please.

one of the UK testers was sent an update to test, specifically for the fan noise issue. Hopefully Bluetti will be able to send you that update.

Turn up your volume. However, sitting in my chair in my office - without my headset on, this is VERY annoying. It’s constant, with the draw that I described (PC draws 150-500 watts, depending and the fan noise is constant).
I don’t think a software update can fix this. This a sub standard fan. I just wish at some point Bluetti would use quality fans (Noctua or other). If this is a warranty issue I have the box. However, I suspect I will receive a unit back with the same problem and I do NOT want a refurb (someone else’s broken unit that has been repaired).

Other than this, the unit has been flawless.

Hi @dredge999, we have developed the latest firmware to fix the fan noise issue on the Elite 300. We would like to know if you have updated to the latest firmware.

Could you please provide the SN code and current firmware version of your Elite 300 for further analysis? We can also arrange a direct replacement for you if needed.

Many thanks to Ktt and Tezzabee for their attention and reminders.

The fan rattle is getting worse now. It genuinely sounds like when a fan goes bad on a PC and it makes constant noise, and/or it is loose somewhere. What’s the update on this situation @BLUETTI_CARE

Hi @dredge999, thank you for your update.
I have applied to upgrade your system to our IT department. If the new firmware is available, they will complete the push within 24 hours.
Please upgrade the firmware tomorrow. Please do not load any device when upgrading it.
Please let us know if it works.

I have the same issue and asked Bluetti team to do something. The answer was the same, they will push firware update to my device, but nothing happend, idk how it works but I cannot see new firware version so far. Fan issue is not going anywere, btw it’s already few moths from product release date, and still there is no fix

I haven’t seen any new firmware updates available for my device. @BLUETTI_CARE - please respond.
My firmware is same as I posted above and I have checked for new firmware multiple times.
Different issue, I just tripped a breaker for my office outlets and the Elite 300 didn’t catch it in time. PC rebooted.
So the advertised 10ms switchover time may be incorrect here. I was drawing about 230 watts at the time of switchover.
