I have a 200V2 purchased new back in May 2025. The firmware got updated once back then and then it never got updated. I saw other owners of 200V2 here have a newer firmware but when I checked mine with the app it always said ‘you’re up to date’.
There is no problem with your unit not needling updates. Unless you are having problems. If you want the latest update just post your s/n and a copy of your version you are on to @BLUETTI_CARE ame they will arrange to forward the update.
It could also depend on the hardware that’s inside the unit as newer models might have different versions.
Here is what I am on at the moment got the elite 200v2 at the start of the year.
Thanks for the reply. I didn’t have a problem. Just wondering if I missed any improvement of an updated firmware? I’m sure there are bug fixes too. So, if we didn’t have any problem then we will never get any update?
That’s great you don’t have any problems @marsman and all is working as it should, the version I’m on I requested from bluetti it’s a fix for the relay click when charging from solar it lowers the number is times it clicks at dusk and dawn.
Rest assured Bluetti are alway improving and if there is any updates it will be sent to your unit or keep an eye out in the forum for discussions about Bluetti devices and you can request updates from @BLUETTI_CARE and they will push the updates if any are available.
Thanks for the reply. I guess no news is good news. However, this is really an unconventional update scheme that everyone has to request for an update. How could they handle million of users this way? I’m a software engineer and all software have bugs. Period. So if an update fixed something for someone, then it should be merged to all other firmware and release, like everybody else (phones, computers, tv, appliances etc…)
I’m pretty sure I have the same problem as you but I just haven’t run into it as I don’t use solar panel now but I will in the future. So that will be an unnecessary hassle for everyone to have to go through the request.
Bluetti will roll out updates @marsman units that have been bought recently will already have the new firmware installed or be there to install at setup. It also depends on the hardware that is inside that may have been updated already and may not need the new firmware as time goes on a lot of the internals change.
The relay switch isn’t really a problem the firmware update is just to lower the amount of times it cycles.
Hi @marsman, we have confirmed that your device is already running the latest public firmware.
We also have some firmware versions that are not released for mass push — these are designed to fix specific issues and are only pushed individually when customers encounter related problems.
Since you haven’t experienced any issues with your device, there is no need to upgrade the firmware at this time.
You may update once we release the next public firmware.
If you encounter any issues during use, please feel free to contact us anytime.
Thanks to @Ktt for the continued attention and professional input on this matter.
