Elite 200 V2 - Question about behaviour

Hi.
I just purchased an Elite 200 V2. It is connected to a 400Wp solar panel. It powers my caravan that has no landline connected. The caravan is quite remote from my home. We mostly use the caravan during the weekends and my idea is that the solar panel recharges the device during the week even with relatively low input. Apparantly it works like it’s supposed to.
However I have some doubts about the functionallity. The manual states:“If there is no DC or AC output for over one minute, the Elite 200 V2 automatically
powers off”.
Does that mean that it can work like that:

  • We switch of DC and AC outputs when we leave.
  • The device will continue to charge until sunset and the panel no longer provides power.
  • A minute after the panel stops providing power, the device will turn off.
  • In the morning the device will be woken up when the panel starts producing power again.

A problem would arise when the days we not use the device are cloudy and/or rainy. In this case I will have an average around 20W from the panel. This would not be enough if the device stays ‘awake’/turned on during night time as I read the device uses about 15W when just swiched on. So when the device would not switch off at night, that standby power would eat up the energy collected during the day.
Could someone please confirm this behaviour as casually checking that at night is no option as the caravan is so remote. Reading the manual it should work that way but I’m not sure.

Thanks in advance for your input…
