Elite 200 V2 Fan Behavior

I recently bought a Bluetti Elite 200 V2 and noticed that the fans behave somewhat strangely compared to my other power stations. In particular, I noticed two main issues:

  1. Pulsating Sound: During low loads, the fans produce a pulsating, rhythmic sound rather than a regular fan hum. It’s still quiet, but the sound characteristic is concerning. Here is a recording: Vocaroo | Online voice recorder. This sound is most pronounced during low loads and changes to regular fan hum during AC turbo charging. I’m not sure if this is a “feature” of the PWM implementation in this unit or a fan bearing issue.
  2. Constant Operation: The fans are always on during battery discharge, even during low loads (100W). They only stop when the battery is fully charged and the AC input is connected (UPS mode). They do change speed based on load.

I would appreciate it if other Elite 200 V2 owners could weigh in on whether they experience this, or if @BLUETTI_CARE could clarify if this is normal.

Hi Vitaliiv, unfortunately I couldn’t hear the recording.
I do have an Elite 200 though. I would say the fan sound at a low load does sound a bit different to higher loads. I had to listen out for that following your post though as the fans are still hardly noticeable, especially compared to other batteries I have. I find the Elite 200 incredibly quiet, so much so that when I first got it I kept checking it was still on

Hi @Vitaliiv, we have checked the audio and believe the fan noise is not high and regular. This is normal operating sound, please feel free to use it.
The Elite 200 V2 may indeed enter hiccup mode under low load conditions, resulting in relatively high noise.
Thanks to @Tezzabee for the concern and explanation.

My Elite 100 V2 does the same it appears to be in a coma. Nothing it working,no operating screen fully shutdown apart from this breathing fan. This is the second time this bank has let me down on a camping trip , utterly useless when you need reliability. Thank god for camp electric availability.
