Id like to know how to deal with the single 10 amps 12 v dc outlet
I have an overlander van that we plan to be autonomous on the bluetti elite 200
I plan to have a roof mounted fantastic fan ( 12 v dc )
A diesel heater ( 12 v dc )
And some 12 v dc accessories
How can I manage these with my 10 amp dc outlet ?
Any ideas ?
Thanks
Dan
@BigDan - Dan Your outlet is similar to most power stations at or smaller than the V2. You have a total of 120W at any one time.
I would assume that if you need your roof fan, the diesel heater is not required, in other words unlikely to operate both at the same time. That said a diesel heater can draw in excess of 10A (120W) when the glo pin is energised, so not a good idea to plug it into a cig socket.
What I would do in your situation is only use the cig socket for very low loads if needed and USB-A & C where possible.
To provide a higher load @ a nominal 12VDC, I would use a battery charger in power supply mode from the V2 AC outlet. Yes there will be efficiency losses, but the V2 will handle something like a 20 or 30A charger that has a power supply mode. You can then use a multi blade fuse holder to distribute your load needs and the charger to supply a higher load.
Thanks Mandp , Ill do this !
I tought of it ,but needed a second opinion
