Hello Everyone !
I am currently using an Elite 200 in my van, abroad of my country of residence (France). It’s charging with solar panels (500W, 45V Max, 13A Max) and also with the charger 1 which can deliver 560W-56V.
My DC input xt60 has literally melted with the cable inside ! Does anyone has already seen something similar on his elite 200 ? Did you repair it ? Impossible to send to warranty because I am travelling abroad.
Thank you all for your help !
The XT60 connector if not properly seated will generate heat (as a result of the internal resistance generated from an improperly seated plug) until the plug fails/melts. Sometimes you have to spread the male pins apart to create tension in order for the connection to fit tighter. Loose fitting = NEVER GOOD with XT60. Hopefully the cord isn’t literally fused IN the XT60 port of the Bluetti unit itself because if so you have no choice but to send in for repair. If just the cable is ruined, you can easily replace that. Additionally avoid cheap Chinese knock off XT60s as they are prone to heat degradation due their poor quality. Look for a genuine XT60 connector. AMASS is an example. Usually they are soldered and not CRIMPED to prevent these issues and use high-temp nylon tape as well.
