I have a Bluetti Elite 100 v2 charging off my truck battery with a BLUETTI Charger1 560W, When the car is running the unit only charges at around 15-20 watts 14v at around and amp is what it reads on the app. Occasionally it will kick up to 220/230 watts which is what I expect it to charge at but is quite inconsistent and most of the time when the car is running it is charging at 15W.
I can seem to change the input setting which I believe is P02 on this model it skips from P01 to P03, when charging it thinks the input is a solar PV input on the app. I am using the included hardware for the charger and the truck is a 1997 toyota. Is this a setting issue? Any ideas
The first setting you need to check is that your Elite 100 is set to PV mode DC charging. (Not car charging at 12V this is low wattage cig plug charging mode.) Go into the App and settings of the Elite.
The next check with a multimeter is the Charger 1 input terminals when all is connected and engine is running. Open the rubber cap on the C1 and probe the screw terminal for voltage and just to also check do the same at the C1 output. Then post back the results, this gives us a better idea of diagnosis.
It would also help if you noted the SOC of the Elite 100 at the time of testing, as if it is at 100%, it won’t take a charge.
Thanks for the reply! In the time it took for this to go through approval I seem to have sorted out the issue.
Was able to change the dc input setting to other (from PV) through the app and that seems to have solved it. I was not bc able to change this setting through the menu on the power station had to connect and go through the app.
