Elite 100 V2 - Multiple Errors and No Charging

My new Elite 100 V2 - first Bluetti purchase – arrived 08/08. Unpacked, charged it fully, and connected it to the app on my phone. Can’t remember if I did any updates. Sat on the kitchen counter for a couple of weeks until I got around to firing it up to do some testing, such as how long will it run my camping fridge. It’s never left the house, it’s never had any load attached to it.

When I turned it on this morning, it had 0% battery, flashing error icons, and shut itself down in about 60 seconds. It does this whether it is plugged into the wall or not. I pulled out the app, and through several cycles of on/off, I was able to finally get the codes from the device:

E074 (BMS System Fault)
P051 (Cell Failure)
P003 (Cell Overvoltage Alarm)
P008 (Cell Undervoltage Alarm)
P024 (Cell Overvoltage Protection)

For a couple of these, the troubleshooting advice in the app is to start with updating the firmware and doing a recalibration. I can’t get the unit to stay on long enough to do any of that. One of the other troubleshooting messages suggests charing the unit properly. I’ve had it plugged in for an hour, and am seeing the same 60 seconds or so of life before it shuts itself down.

I researched a ton before making this purchase, and am really disappointed in my first exposure to a Bluetti product. Happy to try anything on my side to resolve this, but it seems like this device is really fragile, which is concerning, giving that my intent is to use it camping and traveling.

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience. I understand how frustrating this situation can be. Here are a couple of steps you can try:

  1. Please check if the firmware is up to date.
  2. I recommend performing a full charge and discharge cycle without connecting any devices during the process.

These steps may help resolve the issues you’re encountering. If the problem persists, please let me know, and we can explore further options.

Thank you!

Hello again. The firmware indicates that it has new versions available:

ARM
v2186.09 → v2186.14

DSP
v2200.08 → v2200.12

BMS
v1083.07

However, the unit will only stay on for about 20 seconds per power-on cycle now, and none of the updates will apply in that short period of time. I’ve tried multiple times, and can only get about 50% of the way into the first update before the unit powers itself down again.

I hope this information helps in some way.

Thank you for the reply.

Whether plugged in or not, the unit will only stay powered on for about 60 seconds. When plugged in, the display shows zero watts of input.

During that brief time, I can see that there is an update available, but I don’t believe the unit will stay powered on to do the update. I’ll try to do that update today, but I’m concerned that it’s only going to get partway through the update before it powers down again, leaving it in a “partway updated” state.

Based on the display, it is fully discharged. I’ve left it plugged in for many, many hours, and it never takes any charge to battery.

Ideally, I’d love to find a way to clear the codes, or reset the unit, as I wonder if the unit is just “confused”.

After I attempt the upgrade, I’ll respond here. Thank you for your response!
