Elite 100 shutting down

New to Bluetti…

I just purchased an Elite 100 to use in my van build. The primary item I want to run on this unit is my 12 volt cooler and recharge phone.

Two days ago I charged up the unit and then plugged the cooler into the DC port. All seemed to work well so I left it to run overnight (my goal was to run the cooler until the unit was near 0% so I could get a base line for how long the unit might power the cooler before needing to be recharged). Cooler is pulling about 32Watts when its being powered by the unit.

In the morning, I noticed the unit had shut down and cooler was off. I hit the power button on the unit and it showed a 68% charge level. Restarted the “test” and, again, the unit ran for a few hours and then it shuts down.

Any help/ideas as to why the unit is shutting down and not continuing to power the cooler would be appreciated.

Thanks, in advance!

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us. To help you troubleshoot the issue, please follow these steps:

  1. Check if the machine is charging normally or connected to a load device, and verify if ECO mode is enabled.
  2. If the machine is not charging and AC or DC is not turned on, it will automatically shut down after one minute to save power.
  3. If the machine is in ECO mode without a load device or with very low power, it will automatically turn off AC and DC after 1 to 4 hours (the specific time can be checked in the app settings) and will shut down shortly thereafter.
  4. If the machine is charging but AC or DC is not turned on, it will automatically shut down one minute after reaching full charge.
  5. If the machine is only charging via PV and AC or DC is not turned on, PV charging will stop at night, and the machine will automatically shut down after one minute. It will reactivate automatically the next morning when PV charging resumes.
  6. Check if the machine is out of power; if so, it will shut down automatically.
  7. Please check the error code interface for any historical error codes.

Follow these steps, and if the issue persists, feel free to contact us.

Thank you for your cooperation!

The information sent is generally helpful, but does not answer my specific question.

To recap - I fully charged the Elite 100 in my house. I then plugged my 12volt cooler (a “load device”) into the DC port of the unit, turned on the DC function and let the unit run. After 3-4 hours the Elite 100 is shutting down.

I have now tried this process 3 times. Each time the unit shuts down after 3/4 hours, even though the unit indicates a remaining charge of 60-70% when restarted.

Is it possible that as the cooler compressor kicks on/off to control temp, it is somehow causing the Elte 100 to shut own? Other ideas as to why this is happening?

Hello,

Please let me know the results of the troubleshooting steps mentioned above, as I need this information to assist you further. Additionally, could you provide the device’s serial number and firmware version?

Thank you for your cooperation!

Your Elite 100 V2 likely has ECO mode enabled which auto shuts down DC output after 30 60min of low or no load to save power common for coolers that cycle off. Check the Bluetti app or press the ECO button to disable CC ECO mode. If not, test for error codes or contact support.
