EB3A won't charge and "SHORT" message

Hi everyone, hoping for some help here from the community or Bluetti support.

:wrench:My Setup
Power input : 110V AC from a 2025 Chevy Suburban outlet
Power output : 12V DC car port powering an Alpicool C15 fridge
Cables : Standard 12V car plug into EB3A → 2-prong plug into fridge
I own two separate Alpicool-compatible cords, both work fine
No solar panels or extra battery connected
No devices connected via AC output

:hourglass_flowing_sand:Usage History

I’ve been running this exact setup successfully for over two months
Nothing changed , but a few days ago, it stopped working properly
I’ve searched through forum threads — some are close, but none exactly match, and no suggested fixes have worked

:gear:Behavior / Symptoms

  1. When plugging into AC (110V wall or vehicle outlet):
Unit powers on briefly, displays “UPS” and about 28W input
Battery climbs to 1%, then stops charging
Device turns itself off shortly after
Unplug/replug temporarily wakes it up again
Also won’t take a charge from DC

  2. App behavior (iOS) :
    Connects briefly after plugging in
I was able to turn off Eco Mode and successfully update firmware
No option found to disable UPS mode
UPS mode remains active even when nothing is plugged into output

  3. When toggling DC output on :
    I hear the relay click
A message “SHORT” appears on the screen in all caps
This happens even when nothing is plugged into DC output

:white_check_mark:What I’ve Tried

Verified both DC cables work with other batteries
Confirmed fridge is fully operational
Firmware updated via app
Eco Mode turned off
Tried toggling AC and DC buttons manually and via app
Tested multiple power cords and outlets

:question:Questions

  1. Why won’t the EB3A charge beyond 1% on AC?
  2. What does the “SHORT” message mean on the DC port with nothing plugged in?
  3. Is UPS mode always active by design, or can it be turned off?
  4. Is it possible the DC circuit is internally damaged or shorted?
  5. Is there a hard reset or circuit breaker I haven’t tried?

Thanks in advance for any help!
