EB3A won’t power on unless plugged in.

My EB won’t power on. When I plug it in (DC or AC) it shows 100% charge but still won’t turn on. I was able to connect the app and there is no firmware update

Hi @Joshnd80, Can you help us to remedy the trouble according to the procedure?
Please plug the EB3A into the AC home grid to be charged, and charge until it is 100%.
After that, please turn on the AC and DC of the EB3A. After 30 minutes to 1 hour, the EB3A will drop from 100% to 99% due to self-consumption. After the SOC of EB3A drops to 99%, please unplug the AC charging cable of EB3A from the home grid to see if the EB3A can be turned on normally. If so please AC charge the EB3A again.
Normally, the EB3A will work well, and please tell us the EB3A’s SN number, DSP, and ARM version, we will push the new firmware to avoid this problem happen again.

It was at 100% when plugged in. It will not power on when it isn’t plugged in. If I turn it one when it’s plugged in it turns off as soon as it’s unplugged.

I have a EB3A that does the same. After running it down to zero and then plugging into AC to charge it showed 100% right away. Since I knew it was fully discharged my cure was to just leave it plugged into AC and eventually it started to charge at several hundred watts for an hour or so, the display stayed at 100% the whole time but I could tell it was charging by looking at the input wattage. After it was fully charged (no incoming watts) the % display functioned normally unless I went back down to zero% in which case I had to do the above again. Some sort of bug in that particular BMS as I have a second EB3A which functions normally.

The suggestion from eric102 got it working again. Should I still send the info to push an update?

Hi @Joshnd80, I’m glad to hear the issue has been resolved.

Thank you, eric102, for your assistance.
Yes, we still recommend providing the SN code and current firmware version of your EB3A so we can push the latest firmware update, which will help prevent the issue from recurring.
