My 4-month old EB3A has stopped any DC charging from solar panel or car cig socket (error code 0-00). Both sources previously worked fine, so both cables are good. I can, however, charge it to 100% with AC from AC70, which itself charges from solar without problem.
The manual states “When the battery capacity drops to 20%, charge the EB3A… …and do NOT power devices from 400W and above.”. I did plug in a 400W+ AC heater, when battery was low (can’t recall how much capacity remained), but I did notice that capacity instantly dropped to 0% when switching on AC and the heater didn’t start up.
Have I broken my trusty EB3A?

Hi,Here are a few steps to help you troubleshoot the charging issues:
- When using car charging, please press and hold the AC + LED button to check for any error codes.
- If both solar (PV) and car charging do not work, this may indicate a product fault. Please inspect the 7909 charging socket for any loose connections. You can test it by pressing down on the plug to see if it charges; if it stops when you release it, there may be an issue.

Hi, thanks for reply.
Tried your suggestions. Still no charging, but the 7909 plug does feel loose in the socket, unlike the ‘stiffness’ of the 7909 charging socket of my AC60. You are most likely right that the charging socket on the EB3A is the issue.
Despite having an AC60+B20 combo and an AC70 to run fridge/freezer/Starlink, etc., I really miss my EB3A, because I take it up into roof top tent for charging MacBook, iPhone and iPads. I live in my car and travel full time around Australia. Point is I have no fixed address, is there anywhere I can go to get repairs done?
In the mean time, thank you for your assistance.
Hello, To arrange for repair, you just need to contact the customer service of the platform where you purchased it and inform them that you need to send it in for repair. They will provide you with the address to send the device back. Please remember to mention to the customer service that your shipping address and return address are different.
