EB3A Inverter buzzing

Hello dear community, i bought my eb3a about 6 month ago couple days ago it started making some buzzing sound when inverter was on, it used to just click and turn on, now it has slight buzzing sound when idle and increases with load, do i have to worry about anything here or its normal ?
I barely used this unit AC maybe 10 hours max over 6 month and this is concerning
I have read that is fan noise but fan is not even running so i dont think its the fan, i know some inverters have some noise but when it was new it never made a noise it was dead silent so i wanna make sure everything is fine
@BLUETTI_CARE would you kindly check this post <3

Edit: I made some experiment at 0 load there is a buzzing sound at 40-50watts it increased (doubled) at 90-185watts it went lower (its like noise stabilized) so not sure

It sounds like you’re talking about the BLUETTI EB3A — and based on your description, what you’re hearing is very likely normal inverter coil noise (coil whine) rather than a serious fault.

Here’s what’s happening:

When the inverter is ON, it converts DC battery power into AC power. Inside, there are inductors/transformers that can vibrate slightly at certain frequencies. That vibration can create:

Hi @Sorenalike, from your description, we believe this is normal behavior. The explanation from rowanhueo9 is very professional: the inverter noise is relatively higher under low load, but this does not affect normal use.
If you are still concerned, you may record a video, upload it to a cloud drive such as Google Drive, and share the link with us for further confirmation.

Thank you for your detailed explanation that makes a lot of sense.
It’s reassuring to know that the slightly higher inverter noise under low load is considered normal and doesn’t affect performance. I appreciate the professional clarification from rowanhueo9 as well. If the sound becomes noticeably louder or changes in character, I’ll record a video and upload it to Google Drive for further review. For now, I’m comfortable continuing normal use.

Thank you for your answer, the problem is i never heard any noise from it before beside fan ofc idk maybe i never paid attention to it, and noise only increases under low load low 30-50w (i was using my soldering iron on it) not on higher load it actually gets less noisy under higher load 90 to 180.

Video is about 30 to 40 load

This is over 100 load its basically silent

I had the same noise with my AC200MAX. I was worried as well even mine has this from the beginning.
However I’m using it over a year and it is still working fine.
The stand by consumption is higher I wished, but other than that it is ok.

Hi @Sorenalike, we have checked the video and discussed this with our engineers, and we all agree that this unit needs to be repaired.
If you have any questions about how to reach the appropriate customer service team or concerns about the service process, please send us a private message with your order information so that we can arrange priority service for you.

Hello again, thank you for your response and my apologies for my late answer, i was going through a war which bluetti came in handy :sweat_smile:i doubt we can arrange that since i live in Iran which you don’t provide any repair services, is it possible to tell me what is wrong possibly so maybe i can get it resolved through a technician.
If its just some noise i can get by it i dont care much about the noise, that being said beside the noise it works fine.
To my understanding this might be just:

  • Pulse‑skipping
  • Burst mode
  • Discontinuous PWM at low load

To preserve energy at low load and reduce idle consumption, I say that because at higher load its silent

If possible please double check @BLUETTI_CARE

To my understanding its a feature its one of these:

  • Pulse‑skipping
  • Burst mode
  • Discontinuous PWM at low load

Hi @Sorenalike, thank you for your update.
We believe this may be an issue with the fan speed control logic in the BMS. Unfortunately, this cannot be fixed via firmware update.

We do not have any service centers in Iran. Fortunately, aside from the fan noise, there will be no other impact, and you can continue using the device normally.
