I bought the Bluetti EB240 2400Wh power station less than 6 months ago and it is no longer working. When I plug the the AC charger or my solar charger to the unit, it does not charge or turn on or have any lights display. It was just working perfectly 2 days ago.
I normally don’t allow it to fully die, but I was too busy the last few days so it fully drained. I noticed even on a sunny day that the unit wasn’t charging. I brought it inside to charge with the AC charger and nothing is happening, still.
Hi @BaCkWeRdZ, We would like to know the model of your solar panel and whether it meets the charging standards for the EB240. Was this solar panel previously able to charge the EB240 normally?
Could you try car charging? This might help wake up the machine if it’s over-discharged.
Additionally, there might be a poor contact in the charging input port. Could you try pressing the connection cable while AC charging?
If that doesn’t work, I am afraid that you may need to contact customer service for a repair.
I have the Renogy Solar Panel 200W 12V Lightweight Monocrystalline Semi-Flexible: https://amz.run/9VWK
It’s worked flawlessly for the last 6 months. I tried to bring it inside and AC charge but it wouldn’t. I actually let it sit for a while, unplugged the AC adapter and started the process “fresh,” and now it’s charged.
Not sure why it stopped in the first place, but happy it’s back working.
Hi @BaCkWeRdZ, I am glad to hear that the problem is resolved.
I believe this EB240 is over-discharged, and only a DC charge can wake up it.
Here are some suggestions for storing the unit.
- Never store the battery empty, even for only a few days. LiFePO4 batteries might be unrecoverable if stored empty.
- Storage temperature: 0-40℃. Don’t store the battery in a humid environment. Keep it away from fire as well.
- The optimal state of charge for long-term storage is 50%.
- The battery will slowly self-discharge over time. The battery should be recharged every 3-6 months.
- Don’t store the battery on its side. Keep it up straight.
- Don’t stack things on top the unit. Don’t block the fans.
