Just curious if anyone has a suggestion for me, I started this project a few months ago knowing nothing, and learned a lot from this group.
My EB240 charges great via A/C however I connected solar adapter to my panels outside, and the display on the EB240 does not register any input. I have tried 3 different configurations, just using one panel, exc, but nothing even will give a readout.
These are only 100 watts a piece, (I have 4) so let me know what I am doing wrong? Thanks!
Hi @mydataisme , @aaron33 and @Selfmadestrom’s suggestions are spot on. We need more details about your solar panels; if you could provide their links, that would be great. Are all four solar panels of the same model and specifications?
Please note that not every other solar panel can connect to our power station. Every device has a specific PV input voltage range, the other solar panels’ total open-circuit voltage could not exceed the max voltage, and could not lower than the min voltage.
The solar input voltage of the EB240 power station is VOC 16-60V. Your solar panel must meet the criteria.
Please consult your solar panel supplier to confirm the total Open Circuit Voltage (Voc) will be within the voltage range.
Include MC4 connectors.
Meanwhile please don’t connect different solar panels to use. Because the open circuit voltage is different. The higher one will burn out the lower one.
I have justbpurchased a new unit and got two 100W Renology compact panels this week. No. Matter what i do, the input shows a solar sign but te wattage SLOWLY moves from 001 watt to 010 max wattage wiith full sunlight. I am very competent with electrical have pre-wireed 3-phase Tripp-lite critical server backups for military and commercial in the past. I feel there is an issue with thee inverter. I’m about to test the 12V DC in from my car today. Has anyone come across this particular issue? I believe my unit is an EB180 (Canada)
