EB180 – E011 error after partial discharge (cooler connected)

Hi,

I’m experiencing an issue with my Bluetti EB180 and I’d appreciate some help.

The unit charges fully without any problem, and the display shows 100%.
I then connected a small external cooler (~50–60W) to the AC output. It runs fine and discharges the battery to around 50%, and then suddenly I get the E011 error and the unit shuts down.

I tried to:

  • Recharge it fully → it charges to 100%
  • Discharge via USB with an iPad → E011 appears again after just 2–3 minutes
  • Reset with long press → no change

The unit has only been used around 20 times and was never deeply discharged.

It seems like the battery shuts down even though there’s still charge left, and I suspect a BMS calibration issue or a faulty cell sensor.

Is there a way to manually recalibrate or reset the system?
Or do I need to send it in for diagnostics?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Best regards,

Hi @bcz, We would like to know if you used AC charging when charging the EB180. If so, could you try using DC charging instead? Please try to charge it for a little longer.

After confirming that it is fully charged, use other loads for discharging. A refrigerator is an inductive load and is not very suitable; many of our users use fans for discharging. We hope this helps.

The EB180 is an early model. If troubleshooting doesn’t work, I’m afraid it can’t be repaired. We have long since discontinued production and cannot provide the corresponding spare parts.
