EB150 turns off randomly

I have an EB150 that turns off by itself randomly. The first one acted the same way, and the seller replaced it after 11 months. The current one now turns off for no reasons. I only use it to light up my backyard at night. Five strings of light (about 25w each) are on for about 3 hours nightly.
Do you have new firmware for this model??? Thanks!

Hi @EB150Owner

unfortunatly the EB150 does not support any OTA updates through the Bluetti App.

This unit have a “standard” lithium battery, no lifepo4. Still would try to completly drain the unit until there isnt any power output anymore and then charge it with a AC power brick until it shutdown itself.

This way, the BMS get calibratet.

Hi @EB150Owner, Thank you for your inquiry. The EB150 is an early-model device that does not support app connectivity, so firmware upgrades are not an option for resolving issues.
@Selfmadestrom’s explanation is very professional.
We consider an issue with inaccurate battery level readings. Please recalibrate the device to restore it to optimal performance.

Hello Erik
Thanks for the advice! I know it is suck buying the “first year” model! I have watched the Youtub video on how to cycle the Bluetti battery. However, I have not been able to turn it back on after fully charged. It stayed on for a short time and went off.
I would appreciate if there is an instruction on how to recalibrate this device, or if the BMS board is available to purchase.
Thank you in advance!

Hi @BLUETTI_CARE @EB150Owner
Bluetti dont offer any parts to buy as a single officially. Normally you can calibrate the BMS by discharge the unit until its complete shutdown and recharge it from a constant Source (like AC Plug) until the unit stops charging.

Sometimes you need to do it twice.

Hi @EB150Owner, Re-calibration involves a full discharge followed by a full recharge. If discharging isn’t possible, the re-calibration can’t be completed.

Thanks to @Selfmadestrom for the explanation. To confirm, we don’t sell internal components. Additionally, the EB150 is a model that was discontinued quite some time ago, so I’m afraid there are no stocks left in our warehouse.

If you need it, we can try to apply for a discount for your new model purchase. Hope this helps.
