Disable Bluetooth

Is it possible to disable Bluetooth functionality on the AC180 so that it is not emitting ant radio frequency energy?

Thank you for your concern, but unfortunately, the AC180 does not support manually turning off Bluetooth.

Is there a hardware solution that you are aware of? I saw on a YouTube tear-down video that there is a small separate circuit board inside the top of the unit that is used for the wireless charging function.
Does that circuit board also contain the Bluetooth antenna or the Bluetooth circuitry Ala a Bluetooth dongle? If so…it could simply be disconnected to disable the Bluetooth function altogether. Or is the Bluetooth circuity and antenna located on the main circuit board?

The only protection I know of re Bluetooth - I have an older AC180 (almost 2 years). It has no Bluetooth protection.
I also have 2 x AC180s that are around 6 months old, that do have protection, in as much as, a Password can be set within the Bluetti App.
This feature will help prevent others from accessing the settings from within the App. I believe this feature is not retrospective, as my older unit does not show this feature in its list of App controls. Therefore, the change was solid state, not firmware. I also own an AC200P which has no Bluetooth, a screen menu on the device and for my use a pain not having Bluetooth at all. I do not know the date of the transition to the password function, however, if you see a password option in the App, then it’s the later version of the AC180.

Thanks Mandp,

I have just ordered my AC180 from Amazon. I’m looking to disable Bluetooth altogether as to prevent RF emissions from the unit.
