Difference between P090A and P090D?

We’ve currently got an AC200Max and a B230 expansion battery linked together. I want to add a B300K to this, but our local stockist only has the “B300K2” package(that’s how they’ve got it labelled) that comes with the short CA90, but can also bundle the P090D with our order.

Our existing expansion battery uses the P090A, so how is the P090D different, and can it be used to hook up the B300K to our system? The Bluetti sales site just doesn’t seem to have any info on this.

Hello Legacoid.

The P090D is used on the P090D to P150D adapter cable (B300/K battery to AC500 input) and the P090D to MC4/XT90/DC7909 it reportedly has a different pin out so that it can be used in power bank mode. Even though the P090D and P090A are the same input I don’t think they can be used interchangeably.

I don’t think there is such a thing as a P090D to P090D cable so unless Bluetti say something different I think your stockist has made a mistake and they either mean a P090A cable or a P090D to P150D cable. So you’re right to be careful.

It’s possible someone might swap a CA90 for a P090A if you ask on social media in the Bluetti group. A lot of people have them and would prefer the CA90.
