The new Bluetti B100+, successor to the B80, and a DC Powerhouse!
I own several smaller Bluettis, the largest being the AC180P. The B80 is the go to battery for increasing the run time of smaller units, so I thought I would design a successor to the B80 that would build on it’s strengths of easy portability, and working as a powerbank for multiple smaller Bluetti devices, whilst adding some new upgrades to make it even better.
The new Bluetti B100+ has a larger capacity (1000w, more for the B100P+ premium model) whilst still being easily portable. It is also a powerful, efficient and really useful DC only power source in its own right. The current B80 works natively only with the AC60. I’m not sure of the technical viability, but I am giving the B100+ both Bluetooth and wifi capabilities and hope that a technological genius could enhance the way the B100+ works in sync with the smaller Bluettis via an upgrade to the app.
The B100+ borrows the sleek styling of the B300K, and the ‘smaller size but larger capacity’ battery technology that is used in the new Elite200V2. As part of it’s increased DC capabilities it also has the 160w laptop charging port from the X20 and an upgraded cigarette lighter port. The USB ports have been upgraded to provide more USBc at higher outputs, and there are more of them, plus bi-directional USBc for additional charging in conjunction with the other charging methods.
The B100+ has much faster AC charging, which can be changed in the app. It also has increased solar input and higher VOC so that it will charge in 1.5-2 hours.
Because it’s quite small the B100+ is designed to be stackable via a cable free, slotted stacking design I saw online. The batteries will work together. So if you are happy with your current inverter size you can just stack the B100s to add more run time or harvest more sun rays. Alternatively, remove one from the stack and use it individually as a portable and efficient way to give a long run time to DC devices like heated blankets and laptops and camping fridges
