D40 to AC200L

Hello all - I am having a bit of trouble finding an exact answer and am not the most savvy when it comes to electric.

I just ordered an AC200L with the hope of using this to power an Alu-cab modcap camper on a Toyota Tacoma. My question for the group is: using the D40- am i able to run a wire from my alternator to the D40 - to charge my AC200L while driving my vehicle (while the engine is turned on).
IF this is possible, am i also able to wire a solar panel to the D40 to charge my AC200L while the vehicle is parked in the sunlight?

Sorry, this cannot be done. Because when the D40 is not connected to the AC200L, there is no load mode. Charging the AC200L with D40 is equivalent to carrying a device.
