D100S: Use without battery

Hey there!

is it possible to use the D100S and the A80 without the need of connecting a expansion battery to the D100S?

I did a few tests, no matter what i try, there is only voltage on the dc output of the D100S, when there is a battery connected.

Why i want to connect the D100S with the A80? Because the A80 tend to go in a state, where it doenst have a cloud connection or inject any power into the grid, when connected directly to PV. To prevent this, the D100S takes it place, that doesnt have such a issue.

Erik

Hi @Selfmadestrom, Thank you for your interest in the D100S and A80.

Please note that the D100S lacks sampling circuitry - when used alone, DC input port and grid will show 0W.

When connection to A80 (which has built-in sampling circuitry), or charging B210 via PV (B210 contains sampling circuits) you can read the power data.

We’ve attached the manual for your reference.

Hi @BLUETTI_CARE

Thanks for you answer.

I did a test yesterday and have see the following:

  • A80 Standalone: Show Values in App and inject into grid
  • D100S + A80: Shows 0W values, A80 dont turn on. DC Outputs from D100S show 0V
  • D100S + A80 + B210: As soon the battery is connected, the D100S can activate the A80 and inject into grid

So some of the things covered by your explainations, like the 0W in the App, but why doesnt it pass the power from PV1 to DC1 when there isnt a battery connected to D100S?

Its not just a missing value in the App, the A80 actually dont turn on because of the missing Voltage output of DC1.

Could you clarify this for me?
    Thanks
    Erik

Hi @Selfmadestrom, Thank you for your testing. Our engineers have conducted additional verification and concluded that when using the D100S, battery pack connection is indeed required for operation.

We sincerely apologize for the previous inaccurate information and will promptly update our comment to prevent customer confusion.

Current Valid Configurations:

  1. Standalone A80 operation
  2. A80 + D100S + B210 system integration

The D100S is specifically designed for balcony solar energy and storage systems. It works in conjunction with photovoltaic panels, micro-inverters, and storage batteries to provide users with a reliable energy storage solution. The system can operate in three different modes:

Mode 1: Under conditions of abundant and stable solar energy, the energy generated by the photovoltaic panels is stored in the BLUETTI battery. Once the BLUETTI battery is fully charged, any excess energy will be supplied directly to your household appliances through the micro-inverter.

Mode 2: When there’s no need to charge the BLUETTI battery, the solar energy collected from the photovoltaic panels can seamlessly flow into your home’s power supply system.

Mode 3: During times of insufficient solar energy or when electricity rates are high during peak usage, the energy stored in the BLUETTI battery can be utilized to ensure your household appliances continue to operate, with the micro-inverter managing their power supply.

Thanks for clarification! Then i need the A80P for the single operation, since my first batch of the A80 have difficulties with running standalone
