Connecting to a WIFI Access Point that does NOT have a password

I live in a rural area so I chose not to have a password for my WIFI access point. The app won’t try connecting the AC300 without one. Can you fix that so that it won’t require a password to access the internet through my WIFI? Otherwise I’ve got to reconfigure all the other devices in my home! Everything else connects fine.

Did you get a solution to this issue? I have the exact same problem. Live in rural area and don’t want to use password for my Wifi.
