Hi. Is there anything I do or do not need to do when connecting and disconnecting solar panels into the AC200P? I keep seeing things online about not doing this “under load”. Any advice is much appreciated.
Disconnecting or connecting when not under load is recommended. I usually make all my connections and then unfold the panels, and then the reverse for when finished. You could also cover the panels if you didn’t want to fold them over whilst connecting of disconnecting.
For my larger PV420 panels I have an inline switch/circuit breaker that I leave OFF whilst connecting to or disconnecting from the Bluetti. But I also cover or fold the panels when disconnecting the Switch or extension leads, as whilst the panels are exposed they are still under load.
This is what I do, but others will probably have a different opinion.
