I bought an AC180p less than a week ago, opened the unit with 56% battery life. I wanted to do a battery cycle but when i charge it after a few seconds AC button started blinking then the unit stop charging. i tried removing all appliances connected to the grid but nothing happened. I also checked the firmware version and it is Up to Date. after few hours, i tried charging again but same thing happen, AC button blinks and the unit doesn’t charge.
More info needed Clarke - Were you grid charging? 120 or 240VAC would help.
My first suggestion is connect a constant load such as a large television, maybe a light to load up the unit to around 250W and no charging. Let the AC180 do its thing until flat and it switches off. Then connect to the grid without any loads and try a full charge cycle until the display shows 100% and zero input Watts. This should reset the display accuracy. If this doesn’t work, I suggest you contact @BLUETTI admin.
Hello sir @Mandp, I’m live here in the Philippines, as far as i know we’re on 220V. this is my first time owning a Power Station to be honest and do not know anything about it. as you mentioned, should i discharge my AC180p first to 0% or just just plug in any type of appliances that runs on 250W and above? and whenever I tried Charging it, adfter a few seconds of charging the unit trips and AC indicator starts to blink sir
I had another thought, have you checked that the unit is set to 60Hz. I did Google the standard of power in your country and it is 220VAC at 60Hz.
If your AC180P is set to 50Hz this will likely cause an issue.
If your 180 is set to 60Hz then yes fully discharge it with a moderate load. I recommend something from 250-500W.
Less than 250W will take several hours, I personally don’t like stressing batteries, which is why I would not use too high a load. The key thing is to use a steady consistent load, for example do not use a refrigerator as it cycles on and off, whereas a heater without thermostat or TV left on will be steady.
My 55" TV and DVD-R have a combined load of approximately 200W and it did take most of the day, but time was not an issue. However, that was what I had as using a heater when it is 36 degrees C here in Australia was not my preference, lol.
blinking AC normally occurs, when some error is happening. Did you check the Bluetti App, if any errors for that unit are visible? If so, could you tell us the Error text/code?
Also, if not already set, enable standard ups mode and activate grid charge in the settings.
Hi @Clarke, Generally, we recommend customers to charge the unit first after receiving the new AC180P.
Due to the lengthy sea transportation, the AC180P may experience slow discharge, which could result in low battery levels or inaccurate charge displays (false SOC). Therefore, we recommend fully charging the unit before use.
It seems like this AC180P is unable to charge via AC, is that correct? Please log in to the Bluetti app and enable the Grid Self-adaption mode in the Advanced Settings, then try again. Does this help? During the charging process, ensure no load is connected.
If you are using a power strip, please switch to a home wall outlet. Does that make a difference?
Thank you, @Selfmadestrom, for the suggestion. Yes, please help us locate the error code. @Mandp’s advice is also helpful—please ensure the local HZ frequency is correctly set.
Hi @Clarke, We haven’t heard back from you in a while and wanted to check if the issue has been resolved.
Additionally, we wonder if there is any error code on the app.
Please feel free to contact us if you need our help.
