Hello All,
Ok so maybe a dumb question here…
The idea is to have the AC180 connect to the B80 in powerpack mode installed in our Camper. The ONLY charge option is via 12v.
but I need to power items in the van via 12v socket.
(deleted TEXT see Options in lower posts)
(and yes a AC60 / AC200 are better solutions but the AC200 will not fit anywhere and the AC60 capacity ruled it out. in a cost vs Whr
@AraKern
Option 1 and 2 are both feasible.
As for Option 3, do you want to use the T90 to carry the load? The T90 output is not 12V; or the cigarette lighter port is already charging the AC180, and then use the adapter to charge the AC180? Or can you draw a sketch of the connection? So I can confirm better.
Hope some images make it easier…
Option 1
Option 3
(was recommended by support to charge the B80 not convinced they understood it was via the AC180)
Option 3 is your best bet use the T200s in the AC port the other options won’t charge the B80 at all.
Charging the B80 from the AC180 via DC 12v works fine (option 2) it is just slow as the output is capped at 120w.
Will test option 1 when I have it installed.
I find it strange that the B80 can discharge at 22.4v @ 30amps ~672w but it is capped at 10a via the dumb cable and the approved charger T200s is still capped at 200w
May just use a boost converter to get 28v 200w input.
I am trying this right now, but I dont see it working. The AC180 is DC enabled, but there is no output registered.
The app animation says it is charging but shows 0W DC …
