Charger 1 won't charge AC200PL at 56 volts

I’m almost done building out a van, and the kit I bought uses a Bluetti AC200PL with a Charger 1. Also included are 2 x 100 watt solar panels on the roof. I’ve updated the firmware on both the AC200PL and the Charger 1, and I followed the directions on the app to change the charging voltage from the default setting of 27 volts to 56 volts (default when I select the AC200PL on the list in the app). I get the red light flashing seven times and I’ve gotten the 008 error code. When I manually set the charging voltage to 36 volts, it charges from the engine (which has dual alternators) without any problems. Any suggestions? Do I have a bad Charger 1 unit?

Also, I should mention that I had problems with 36 volts as well until I turned off adaptive charging.

Hello,

Error 008 indicates inverter overload. Please follow these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Upgrade all firmware to the latest version in the app.
  2. Disconnect all loads and then restart the machine.
  3. If the machine still reports a related short circuit error even when it is unloaded after a reboot, it will need to be sent for repair.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me!

Hello,

  1. I just checked and all firmware is up to date.
  2. Disconnected and restarted the system.
  3. Still getting 008 code when the system is set for 54 volts (default for AC200PL battery bank).

Is this a repair or a replacement under warranty? We got this system as part of a DIY van build kit from Timber Van in Boulder, Colorado. They had it shipped to us from Amazon, so I don’t have an order number. We received it in August, and just installed it last week as we are finishing up our van build.

Thanks!
