Charger 1 lead

Hi All
I have just bought a Charger 1. The output lead appears to be a single set of MC4 connectors on the end. This means I can either connect my Charger Charger I to the Bluetti AC180 OR connect my solar panel to my Bluetti AC180 but not both at the same time. Is there a lead for my Bluetti that has 2 sets of MC4 conectors so I can use both at the same time?

Charger 1 has one set of MC4 output leads, it is NOT an input for solar. If you wish to have both solar input as well as alternator input, you need the Charger 2.

The Charger 1 MC4 connectors fit the solar charging cable provided with your AC180. It has one input and one output.

The AC180 will not accept both solar charging direct from solar panel/s and Charger 1 at the same time. Voltages and Amps will be different and total input may damage the power station. It has a single source DC input.

Charger 2 however has dual input, but only one output to the power station for charging.

Thanks Mandp. Is there a switch box I can use so both remain plugged in but can switch between solar and Charger I?

Nothing I know of. It would not be difficult to make one up. I don’t know your country, so can’t advise where to source, but it is simple if you can solder, drill holes etc.

A jiffy box, a double pole, double throw switch and 3 sets of connectors, (solar in, Charger 1 in and output to the power station) plus wiring is all you need. One input goes to switch position 1 i.e. solar, a second input to switch position 2 for Charger one and the output to the centre switch position to output i.e. the power station.

However, I have a setup in my 4x4, using Anderson plugs. If I need to go to that area to switch, how hard is it to unplug one and plug in the other? It’s pretty well the same time and effort, lol.
