I live in the big island of Hawaii and our electricity rates are $.64 per kwh from 5pm-9pm and $.42 per kwh from 9pm to 9am and $.23 per kwh otherwise. Using the Bluetti 200v2 during the high cost times will save me 33% just for my refrigerator. The water pump and the UV filter will reduce the cost by another 28%. Plus, the federal tax credit gives me a 30% writoff of the cost of the Bluetti. So, my reduced utility bill will payback the cost of the Bluetti in less than 2 years. That’s a great deal.
But here’s the bad news. No vendor wants to make the extra effort in packaging the battery for overseas transit. Not Amazon. Not Bluetti mainland. Not Costco. Those companies should look at the motivation for people like me with the highest ulility rates. We want to save more faster, and that’s just what the number show.
