Hey everyone!
This thread should be use for known bugs in the firmware and the latest firmware updates for the EP Series of Bluetti Powerstations and Home Storage systems.
For fill this thread with information, i need your help!
Please report your current unit, Region and installed firmware. If you facing any bugs with you unit, please also provide this informations with a error description. If the same error is reported multiple times, i will include this as “known bug” into this thread.
Hope this leading to more transparancy within the community and maybe is also a great help for the bluetti devolopers to see what problems some firmware may have and fix them much sooner.
Please use this kind of format to comment this thread:

Unit name: EP760
Region: ANZ (Authentication settings)
Current firmware: ARM: v5023.17, DSP: v5022.14, IOT: v9043.05
Current Problems: This fault is very intermittent. It has only happened 2 times since the system was installed on 17th October 2024. My system is Grid Connected with an AC coupled solar system.
The issue is that the Bluetti app (v2. 3.11) connected via Wi-Fi. stops displaying energy flow and levels. The “PV” and “Consumption” values do not change despite the fact that the loads and PV generation are changing. I know that loads are changing as my solar system has a separate app showing real time changes in PV generation and AC consumption.
I believe that the EP760 is handling loads correctly when this display fault occurs.
If I wait long enough, I do see the battery percentage change correctly.
In this faulty state, I am unable to access the EP760 system settings via Wi-Fi. If I press on the settings icon on the Bluetti app, nothing would happen.
Note that at this time, I was able to connect to any website and my solar system app which uses Wi-Fi was working normally implying that my Internet connection was working fine. However, just in case, I tried rebooting my Internet router but this issue remained the same.
I then tried to connect via Bluetooth to the EP760 and I was then able to access the EP760 settings, however the energy flow display was still not working correctly. It did show an energy flow but it was not correct and when I changed loads the energy levels stayed the same.
I tried turning the EP760 “System Switch” off then back on via the app, but the issue stayed the same. It displayed the same incorrect energy flow and levels as before.
It was only after I completely turned off the system including batteries, EP760 and the AC grid connection, then turned it all back on again that this issue was fixed.
Screenshots below show display when connected via Wi-Fi and via Bluetooth.
Hi @Lyndon_S, Please refer to the following video link and start from 5:04 to follow the troubleshooting steps.
EP600/760 troubleshooting video: https://youtu.be/P0XB9dCZbtQ
I hope it does help.
Next time this issues occurs, I will try the suggested reset method as per the video.
However, this doesn’t address the actual issue.
I will update the IOT module in my EP760 from 9043.05 to 9043.13 and then update the Bluetti Android app to 2.3.12 to see if this solves the issue.
Hi @Lyndon_S, I appreciate your kind understanding and patience.
We believe the new firmware should help resolve the issue.
We hope everything goes smoothly.
Unit name: EP760
Region: GERMANY (Authentication settings)
Current firmware: ARM: v5023.21, DSP: v5022.17, IOT: v9043.14
Current Problems:
My whole house installation is connected to the backup-output of the EP760. Before the firmware upgrade the unit worked flawlessly (at least with the problem that occured after) and also my house installation works perfectly when connected to mains.
Upgraded the firmware today from ARM 5023.20 to 5023.21 and DSP from 5022.16 to 5022.17. After resetting the device as soon as the device switched on the “backup”-output my RCD tripped which is connected between backup and my house installation. Now everytime I try to use the unit the RCD trips as soon as the EP760 is connected to mains with a load on “backup”. In addition, I get various error message like B002, B006, B050 and even B040 although there was nothing conneceted to backup. System is now useless after the last firmware upgrade.
Update: it seems like the update or something shortly after it destroyed the electronics of my backup-output
Hi @mbrandhu
Can confirm that the latest EP Updates seems to be faulty. I did see similar description on Facebook for EP600.
@BLUETTI_CARE @BLUETTI : Could you give that feedback to the R&D Team?
That post in Facebook is from me
Hi @mbrandhu, Yes, we indeed found your Facebook post and email. Our engineers are already following up on this matter.
If you believe this is related to the update, we can attempt to roll back to the previous firmware. We can also arrange for repair services. Rest assured, we are committed to resolving this issue for you.
Thank you, @Selfmadestrom, for your attention and helpful response.
Hi @Lyndon_S, We haven’t heard back from you in a while and wanted to check if the issue has been resolved after upgrading.
Please feel free to contact us if you need our help.
Hi @BLUETTI_CARE,
Thank you very much for the follow up. I really appreciate it.
I haven’t done the upgrade of the IOT module from v9043.05 to v9043.14 on my EP760.
The reason is that I am afraid that I will lose all of the energy statistics and dollars saved statistic that have been generated since the system was installed. Can you please help me understand where this information is stored and why it can disappear when upgrading the IOT module and the Bluetti app from 2.3.11 to 2.3.12?
Also, before I do the upgrade, I would also like to know whether, if something goes wrong, is there a way for me to go backwards from IOT v9043.14 back to v9043.05? Or is that not possible?
On the whole, I am quite pleased with the Bluetti EP760 system with the current versions of firmware. The only minor issue that I have seen (and reported to you) has only occurred 2 times. This is where the energy levels stop updating on the app. Whilst I would like this to be resolved, I definitely don’t want to make any changes that make the system worse.
Looking forward to any advice that you can give me.
Kind Regards,
Lyndon
Hi @BLUETTI_CARE,
As an EP760 user in Australia who already is wary of the Bluetti firmware update process, it is concerning to read that a firmware upgrade has possibly led to a hardware failure on @mbrandhu system. Are you able to provide us with an update on this problem? Can you please detail what factory QA testing is in place for new firmware releases?
Thanks, Lyndon
