I work for a business who is working in remote temporary sites, we are hoping to use a bluetti solution moving forward for when we have blackouts, what we are struggling with is that we have looked at similar solutions (Ecoflow) which whilst suitable in regards to performance is limited in regards to notifications and reliability in the app.
App often says diconnected despite the fact its not or not showing power draw, despite the device being on.
My question is, is Bluetti app anymore reliable and what notifications can you recieve?
As long the Bluetti Device have a reliable Internet connection, i dont ever have any problems with cloud connection. But notifications are a bit of a problem, since there arent any. I dont know how it is for the EP Series, that power your whole Home/Office, but to my knowledge there isnt any Bluetti device that can send notifications through the App.
Hi @UkTechGuy404, I appreciate your interest in Bluetti.
Thank you to @Selfmadestrom for the response. Yes, with a stable Wi-Fi connection, the Bluetti app can maintain a good connection.
Of course, when remote usage is needed, please choose models that support Wi-Fi connection, such as the AC300, AC500, AC200L, Elite 200 V2, etc.
Models that only support Bluetooth connection cannot connect to the app remotely.
We are currently working on a new version of the app, which will send a notification to the customer’s phone when the battery level is low. The new app is expected to be released on February 27th. Please make sure to upgrade the app at that time and enable notification permissions for the Bluetti app to ensure you can receive notifications when the Wi-Fi connection is stable.
Let me share my experience with Bluetti. The specs state that it is good to -40 C. My AC500/BS300 combo will not function much below +40 farenheit. My batteries are in an unheated building and the outside temperature was in the high 20’s (f). I tried to run a 250 watt heat lamp for the chicken coop. It didn’t last the night, despite there being a full battery charge. I don’t know what value these have for off grid/emergency situations if they won’t function unless the temps are ideal. I’m hoping they perform better in milder weather, but that defeats the purpose of having them for power outtages. If the power is out when the temperature is not ideal, then they do nothing to meet my emergency needs. It just seems silly that a battery that is supposed to be for off grid/emergency situations would have such a limited working range. I hope that helps you.
