Bluetti Handsfree: My new companion for trips!

Hey everyone!

Thanks for joining into this post today

I own a Handsfree 1 since about 3 weeks right now and want to share my throughts about it. As always, you are free to ask any questions in the comments down below, i try to answer them as best as possible.

The Handsfree 1 offer a Batterypack which can be compared to a AC2A. Beside the 300W Inverter we also have 2x100W USB-C and 2x 15W USB-A Ports. This is paired with a capacity of 268Wh.

The Handsfree included battery weight about 5kg, which sounds like a lot. The good thing is, you dont really feel it, when you have it on.

The position of the handsfree battery is as near on your back as possible, which is also a factor why it dont feel that heavy.

The Handsfree offers multiple possibilitys to store your equitment. One of the compartments is splittet in little smaller compartments. This make it really easy to store gear like cameras, drones or other sensitiv gear really safe. The Part that touch the grass on the picture also give you a space to store your laptop.

This compartment instantly reminds me of a standard suitecase, where you can store some clothes and tie them, so they are still wearable. Dont think that the devolopers think about clothes when designing this, but i definetly would use it for it. We also have a lot of compartments with zipper to store things like batterys, laptop power supply and other little things.

One of the best features of the handsfree are the amount of loops and ribbons. This make this back really customizable and i really enjoy to be free in my decisions. You can find them on the backside sideways and even on the front, near the shoulder pads.

We also have some space for a drinkbottle at the side and ventilation for the powerstation

So what are my final conclusion for the Handsfree 1? While i was on the way, doing the 1h 30 m livestream with the handsfree 1, there wasnt a single situation where it was unconfortabel. The only thing i see as something that can be improved is the air circuilation on the back. When having a jacket on, it gets quite hot and the handsfree powerstation even force the back more to press agains you back. On the other side, you really need to see what purpuse this back is for. Its not for the professional hicker that walk over hours. In my opinion, its more like a nice backpack to enjoy your hobbys and help to carry all with you. Things like photography. You take a camera with you, mabe a RC Drone for some shots from the air or someone like me, that take a livestream on the go and need reliable energy with storage for Food, drinks etc.

For theese example hobbys, its outright perfect!

For People that also want to have a look at a video i did about the Handsfree 1, feels free to have a look!

@Tezzabee The Handsfree 1 also fits really great to women that are between 1,60m and 1,70m. But wouldnt recommend the even bigger Handsfree 2 at this point. I remembered, that you asked this in some thread

Thanks Erik, for the post and the video, and remembering my question about the suitability of the Bluepack 2.
I did actually order one as I was initially interested in the Bluepack 2 as being a potential emergency bag (with all those useful pockets and compartments and clips) and the Handsfree 2 battery due to the extra power / capacity and solar charging input. I had to return it though as even with so many adjustments available via the various straps, it was not possible to make the chest strap sit in a comfortable place for a woman of my height and build. I think it would probably be ok for a taller woman.
I have the Handsfree 1 now, with Bluepack 1 which fits much better. One improvement I would like to see is for the chest strap to be more adjustable though, at the moment it only adjusts on one side, I think that adjustment could be longer for the less svelt among us, especially if wanting to wear a warm coat under the backpack.
Did you notice the extra side zip to extend the size of the clothing compartment? That seemed a nice addition.
I haven’t tried the lock yet as I am a bit worried about messing it up and locking myself out of the bag haha. (For anyone who hasn’t found them, the lock instructions are on a small piece of paper in one of the bag’s pockets.)
I noticed your no name panel fitted really well with the carabiner clips. I bought the SP60F to go with the HF1, and because it would be very easy to transport to my allotment as it is tiny when folded up. I think it was more designed for the HF2 though as I find the clips aren’t quite far enough apart for the SP60F to lay flat, it tends to fold in the middle, vertically which is not ideal. There is a bit of a knack to getting the backpack on with the solar panel attached as the panel is quite long for a short person to wear, it would be much easier if you were in a couple or group, but I did manage it. I am 5’4 and it was well above ground level when walking which was good.
I got quite low numbers from the panel on my first test, even though it was sunny and I also attached it to a ladder angled to the sun, so I will be doing some further testing of the SP60F and comparing its effectiveness with my other 60w panels as soon as time and weather permit.
I am impressed with the Handsfree 1 battery. I considered buying the AC2A as, like you mention, it has similarities, but I wanted something with the same watt hours as my EB3A. It runs my 300w kettle no problem. I will test it on some other mini kitchen appliances soon. The form factor is good on a kitchen worktop as it takes up so little room, it is also a good design for desk use and likewise for AC charging, I can put it upright near a socket in the awkward space where my other batteries don’t fit.

Hi @Tezzabee
Thanks for taking the time to write such a long answer!

Yeah, its also kinda difficult to close it.

Yes, but i only notice it after the video^^ Thanks for adding!

Haha, you know… you not the only one that has some respect to try it^^ My instruction to set the pin was inside the compartment with the structured inside

Dont have the PV60F here to test, but i pick some no name 40W Panel and can say the same. If the sun shines sideways or the front, there isnt really much solar income. When it shines directly from the back, i was able to charge it with about 30W. So it seems to work good, as long the sun shines directly from behind.

Greetings
Erik

Thanks Erik for preparing the images, videos, and text descriptions for Handsfree! The live stream recording has also been edited to preserve the highlights.

We hope you’ll take Handsfree1 to explore even more outdoor scenarios! :beers:
