Bluetti Elite 100 V2 – refrigerator compressor startup issue

Hello everyone.

I recently purchased a Bluetti Elite 100 V2 power station, and I’ve run into an issue with it. Out of all the appliances in my home, it cannot start my refrigerator. The compressor tries to start, but it never actually kicks in.

What’s confusing is that I also own a EcoFlow River 2 Pro, and with that unit the refrigerator compressor starts without any problems.
This is despite the fact that the EcoFlow River 2 Pro is rated at 1000 W continuous / 1600 W boost, while the Bluetti Elite 100 V2 is rated at 1800 W continuous / 2700 W boost.

This makes me suspect that the issue might be software-related, or possibly related to the output waveform. I’m starting to wonder whether the Bluetti outputs a modified/approximated sine wave, similar to cheaper power stations. This suspicion comes from the fact that the Bluetti manual does not clearly state the AC output waveform, unlike EcoFlow, which explicitly mentions pure sine wave output.

The firmware is fully up to date — I updated it immediately after purchase.

Has anyone else experienced a similar issue with Bluetti units or this model specifically?

P.S. Refrigerator model: Grunhelm GRW-185DD

Hi @tadeslok

refrigerator compressor can have a really high start up current. Is there any error in the App, when you try to start the fridge with the Elite?

Bluetti Units only have pure since wave output.

This is an issue others have reported. There is an update for it though. @BLUETTI_CARE

UPD. An update arrived today
IOT v8024.12
ARM v2186.16
DSP v2200.14
BMS v1083.08
and it seems the problem has been resolved. I’ll take a look in a couple of days and let you know if anything happens.

No, it doesn’t show any errors. You can just hear from the sound that the compressor is trying to start up, but nothing happens.
The starting current is about 1300 watts, I measured it.
I wrote in my post that it is powered by EcoFlow, which has a peak current that is 2 times lower.

Hi @tadeslok, We consider this might be caused by the excessively high starting power of the refrigerator. We can confirm that our power station outputs pure sine waves.
We also have a new firmware version that has not been rolled out in batches yet. Could you please provide the SN code of your Elite 100 V2 so that we can push the firmware to you? We believe that upgrading the firmware will improve the performance of the device under high-power loads.
Have you contacted our customer service team? If yes, please provide your service ticket number. This will help avoid duplicate troubleshooting and save time for both of us.
Thank you to @Selfmadestrom and @Tezzabee for your attention and helpful insights on this matter.
