Bluetti Charger 1 Keeps Restarting

Input is fine. Had it installed on Saturday, and no issues. Suddenly today, it doesn’t want to keep charging. Neither the app nor my AC200P has an error.

Why does it keep restarting?

Hi @realAlexaD

welcome to the Bluetti community forum!

I assume your alternator cant keep up with the load from the Charger 1. You can see that the cars alternator provide about 13.7V when the charger 1 isnt running and as soon its starting, the voltage drop to under 12V. Pretty sure the charger 1 disable charging to prevent damage the battery for too low voltage.

Did you try to charge the Powerstation in silent mode or reduce the output voltage?

greetings
Erik

Hi Erik,

Thanks for the response.

Completely understand what you’re saying. It’s weird though. I have two other active voltmeters and the Bluetti is the only thing that ever sees it dip below 12v.

The other two meters never dip below 13v.

Silent is no joy either.

Sorry for late reply.
11.8V is too low, did you turn the engine on? It was measured from the battery side and was higher than 13V right? It’s possible the wire resistance is too high.

Do you have a picture of the voltage at the battery side? Are you using the cable that come standard with the charger1 package?

Thanks for the response.

Everything was installed properly with the included hardware. Car is running, and driving when charging is happening.

My mechanic has come to the conclusion that the voltmeter in the Charger 1 is just borked or far too sensitive that is detects minute fluctuations that lasts fractions of a second and considers it dip in voltage and detrimental to the health of the battery.

Either way, I’ve disabled adaptive charging and I get my full 50v+. With no change in voltage by other readings. I haven’t had an issue.

I just manually control when I want to start and end charging via the breaker.
